And it makes me wonder whether Solas might have had a similar kind of relationship with his body. I have no real evidence for it at all, it’s just a vague feeling I can’t quite shake.

So maybe that’s why I always end up wanting a little too much physical affection and sex between him and my Lavellan, lol. Something about being with her feels like it forces his body and spirit into alignment.

Not in a way where she overpowers him or makes him submit, though, because that’s not really who my Lavellan is. What interests me more is not that he loses his reason around her, but that he can no longer keep reason and desire separate when he’s with her.

he may have thought he could only love in a spiritual sense, only to find himself cornered into a realm that can only be expressed through the body.

Words are not enough. A look is not enough. Sitting beside her is not enough. Even sharing dreams is no longer enough.

He wants to touch her. He wants to be inside her.

What is happening within him can no longer be fully conveyed except through the body.

With her, love stops being something he merely understands, and becomes something he has to experience.
