Happy World Down Syndrome Day!

Karate Joof.

I like it today. Cuz it’s really special for our entire family to be with us and to have Thanksgiving together. But I do feel sad because Matt is not coming, or Therese. I love working. Um, working and I love supporting the college. And I love Monica cuz she’s so special in my life. And she has good singing. And I love Will because he’s so tough and really powerful. And for Christmas maybe you can take the trolley to Wyoming. Or a cab, that’s better. Or a mountain lion. 

We sang Amazing Grace together at the end for all the students. Everybody cried. But next time I'm singing by myself.

"I think yoga was stressful but it was really special. I've never done it before but I can do it again when Sofya comes. I'm flexible. It hurts though. That's okay."

I can be strong enough to take care of myself. 

Who is the most beautiful in your eyes?

I'm not the only one who has Down syndrome. It's hard for some people to understand, they don't know how to react. But it means I'm special and I have some problems- shaking problems, like I can't control my body at night, and sometimes I cry and cough. The best thing about being a woman with Down syndrome is being smart, and doing lots of special things for people, and helping old people, helping others. I'm happy God made me how I am because I have green eyes. And I am sensitive. The best thing about my heart is that I can talk to anybody.

Dear Pickle, Monica and I recorded a song for you and sofya. You can put it on my website. The song is How Great Thou Art and it's also from the Latin choir. We laughed a lot (ahem). I love Monica here a lot. I can't wait for her to see my friends. Smile. That's it. Special hearts. Love, Julia and Monica

This is my letter to Justin Bieber. Can someone give it him?

My brother made this about me. I think it’s cool and really funny. It’s also amazing to work in the kitchen for all these students, and to be me as a worker. I like helping other people. Like different people. I like singing and performing in the English choir. And my brother is making movies about me.  

This is actually water at the Grand Tetons. That’s right. I’m with my good friend Sofya. I think she’s very wonderful and she always keeps me in line. And she likes to watch every single movie with me. And she’s so famous. (Sofya: ”What am I famous for?”) For being you.

I love you, and you and I can watch movies. We straightened up the game room where the TV is on the second floor to make it cozy. Bring lots of sweaters and be cozy with me. No baggy shorts.
