In the midst of the Black revolution that’s taking over the globe and the plight of Black men in America, Berlin-based Nigerian photographer Lynette Luna decided to show honor in a more positive light. Using a variety of multi-colored flowers in an array of shapes and sizes, Luna uses Ghanaian model Nana Ansah as her muse to show the delicacy of the Black man.

In an interview with OkayAfrica, Luna shared, “In society, Black men have often had to become hyper-masculine to deal with the intense pressures projected onto them by society. When we look into the general opinion of black men, we think of them as very hard, calloused, and tough. We do not allow them to be projected in ways of weakness or softness.”
