The Cosmic Crayon

Had a pretty productive weekend making stuff. Been putting my new Epson Perfection V39 II to work by scanning old sketches and reworking them digitally. I’ve been using the Doron Dither tool to push these drawings into a kind of liminal space—somewhere between the original sketch and a finished digital image. It usually takes a few tries before they settle into themselves, but it’s been one of the most interesting tools I’ve picked up in a while.

No he’s just a no body. Because he’s a ghost. And ghosts don’t have bodies. Get it?

Revisiting an old concept and trying to breathe new life into it. For better or for worse.

copies without originals, or copies of copies that eventually replace direct reality. Not completely false, but untethered. A person can become emotionally sincere inside a symbolic structure that is historically synthetic.
