Louis Vuitton once again presented their Objets Nomades collection of inventive and functional furniture and design objects at Milan Design Week. Since its creation in 2012, the Louis Vuitton Objets Nomades collection has grown to over 60 pieces created by a wide selection of internationally renowned designers. For this year’s Milan Design Week, Louis Vuitton unveiled the new Objets Nomades within a specially designed space in the historic Palazzo Serbelloni.

Kiehl’s Limited Edition Ultra Facial Creams Benefiting Tegan and Sara Foundation

Created in 2016 by the Grammy-nominated singers, musicians, and songwriters Tegan and Sara, the Tegan and Sara Foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of LGBTQ girls and women around the world, with an initial focus on improving economic opportunity, access to health services, and media representation. As part of their dedication to the LGBTQ community, Tegan and Sara will be performing on Pride Island, Pier 26, in NYC during Pride Weekend on Saturday, June 24. Instead of a name I personally like something more uplifting and positive, because we all need a reminder every now and then. Victorinox comes through with a solid collection for fall/winter 2016. Instead of doing a runway show or a standing presentation they opted to do an immersive environment where the clothes were presented hanging and on mannequins, and the ever iconic Swiss army pocket knives were situated in between just so. The room had an all encompassing soundtrack that coupled with the expansive looping video brought you to a place that most designers often don’t do: their mood board. But enough about the event.

For David Hart’s AW16 collection he cast all black male models, which was definitely a nice surprise. Fashion presentations and shows need more diversity. The casting decision and musical instrument prop styling was very much influenced by the collection inspiration, Blue Note Jazz and musicians like Jimmy Smith, Art Blakey, and Max Roach. Photographs by Francis Wolff and graphic design by Reid Miles were the inspiration for the color palette and textiles this season.

Miansai has come a long way from being know for their rope bracelets, especially their iconic and often copied fishing hook bracelet. They’ve finally expanded out of ornamental accessories and added a whole array of functional accessories. Coach’s latest men’s collection did not disappoint and definitely surprised. While last season they dipped their toe into prints by working with the punk aesthetic, this season they explode into spring with a smattering of brightly hued animal and psychedelic inspired prints for everything from jackets and shirts to shoes and bags. It’s very well-timed too considering A$AP Rocky just dropped his acid-influenced album ‘At.Long.Last.A$AP’ and trippy as ever video 'L$D’. The pieces are clearly statement pieces and not for the meek. I suggest you choose an item, pair it with a monochrome outfit, or for the really bold just buy the whole look and live life really loud.
