btw Iβve found these stretches from the WAK blog very helpful when knitting a lot:
Plus make sure to take breaks regularly - and stop if anything starts to hurt!
especially with gift knitting I know it can be tempting to push through it for a deadline, but itβs really not worth causing long term injury. (And anyone knit-worthy should be understanding of that, imho.) Stay well :)
Also good for artists drawing with pencils/on a tablet/with a pen!
Also good for writers
Make art, take care!
Hii, to every other artist or anyone who uses their hands to work for long periods of time with repetitive movement, please take care of your body!!!
Last year Iβve made the mistake of ignoring how much time I spend drawing in unhealthy positions for to many hours and now Iβm paying the consequences. In January Iβve been diagnosed with De Quervain's tenosynovitis and had to do rehabilitation of both of my wrist given to the pain of holding objects. Now Iβm so much better, but it can always come back if Iβm not careful.
Please take care of your health is no joke.
