yall dont know the irony behind naming the group of the smartest kids in the US “MENSA”

Mensa Fact: The word mensa means “table” in Latin; similarly, mens means “mind” and mensis means “month.” The name “Mensa” is reminiscent of “mind, table, month,” which suggests a monthly meeting of great minds around a table.

um thats cool like no joke, but this wasnt that deep. mensa means idiot in spanish 

mens is the word used for menstruation in swedish and with that extra -a it becomes a fake verb that would only be used when you stained something with your period blood “jag mensa ner mina lakan” 

OKAY BUT THIS USED TO HAPPEN AT MY UNIVERSITY ALL THE FUCKING TIME AND JUST LIKE IF I PHYSICALLY CANNOT GET TO THE LIBRARY BECAUSE IT’S A FUCKING GAME DAY YOUR PRIORITIES ARE FUCKED UP
