(I WANT TO KNOW...) âI want to know what you like.â [ -Glowstick (a mech who just wants to be friends with everyone) ]
âWhat I like? ⌠I like order, strategy, and getting things done and mechs who arenât nosy. Everything else is trivial. Unimportant.â
âIf you think Iâm nosy, you do not want to meet Gemini. Mech can poke and poke and poke until he gets the unintended reaction. Anyway, doesnât hurt to get to know a mech who could take me up as a âprotectorâ of sorts, or one who could help me find someone.â
ââProtector? What makes you think you could protect me? Or that Iâd even want your protection? Find someone else to help you. Like I said, I like mechs who stay out of my business.â

đ - shove my muse out of the way
âMove,â Prowl said harshly, already pushing past- whoever it was. As far as he was concerned, he didnât have to know for now. He would try to apologize later, however unlikely it was that he actually would. For now, he had places to be and a schedule to keep.

âMore information, well, itâs in an abandoned warehouse just outside of town. Thereâs Blackpuff, the leader, Whitedust, the most loyal one, and Tanzanite, a blind mech that almost drowned under his care⌠Uhm, I also have two ailiases. He knows me as Kimini, so does Whitedust, but everyone else knows me as Vin. I only have scars that I can show you for physical evidence.â
Kimini was speaking rather quickly, doing this whenever he was nervous. He was worried he would come off as lying since the recent book that came out with his name and Whitedustâs. âI-I still wanna stay away from all of them, but they need help.â
Prowl considered the mech for another moment. âIs this all urgent? I can send a note to the station if needed but if not, it would really be best for you to come with me so we can sort this out.â
He said is a bit awkwardly, he knew, but he was never great at dealing with those who looked on what Prowl perceived as the edge of panic. He could deal with it, but he wasnât likely to handle it well.
âIf thatâs not possible,â Prowl continued, âI may be able to look into at least a bit. I just need proof of the evidence.â

âWell, I donât know if you can count it as a case, but itâs like a cult situation without the religion. Just a leader and a bunch of followers who are too afraid to rebel because one tried a while back and had âdisobedientâ burned into his chest. I left when I had the chance, but they all still deserve to live a normal life.â
The chatterbox part of Kimini came out and once it was out, it was hard to put back in. He just was used to being denied help based on how 'ridiculousâ the claim sounded.
Prowl carefully examined the mech, looking for any tells. It seemed as if he were being truthful, but even he knew that it was almost impossible to open a case like this with such little evidence- no one would ever believe this mech. Prowl almost didnât believe him. Despite that, he had a duty to solve cases like these.
âCan you tell me more at the station?â Prowl asked. âIf what youâre saying is true, it is worth bringing to the proper authorities and going through all the âbureaucratic red tape,â as it were.â He paused, then tilted his helm in consideration. âAt the very least, Iâm sure I could convince them to let me begin a solo investigation on your claims until we find out what the truth is.â

âDoesnât mean you canât walk and talk. Listen, itâs rude to shove and if you knew your manners, I wouldnât have to follow you to baby you! C'mon! Someone had to have taught you manners!â he shouted, shoving him before running off. He would tease him lightly, trying to get him to be extremely late.
âAnd Iâm the rude one,â Prowl sneered to himself, watching the mech run off. He shook his helm and sighed before turning back in the direction that he needed to go. He was going to be much later than he intended and it was more than likely that he wouldnât make it on time for, well, anything.
Kimini sighed, just waiting for him to get back when he wasnât in a rush. Heâd find a spot on a bench, leaving and returning with a snack once, but mainly looking out for Prowl. He didnât want to just leave the shove as a simple miscommunication, he wanted to make it worse.
Prowl was, fortunately, not late enough for it to be an issue. Less time meant less planning and talking, but it wasnât a deal breaker by any means. Though by the time he could return to base- because home wasnât the right word- it was later than he would have liked. He had mostly forgotten about the mech heâd met.
When Prowl finally came back, Kimini would block his path. âFirst you shove me, then you wonât play a little game. Donât blame me if others find you a little not entertaining. Anyway, youâre with law enforcement, right? âCause I got a bit of a problem.â At least he wasnât leading him on this time. He was just getting too many alerts and he wanted help.
âI donât imagine that your games are ones Iâd want to be involved in anyway,â Prowl stated dryly. âBut, yes, I am. Iâm a detective, mostly. If you have a case, I might be able to help. Depending.â
As much as the mech had annoyed and harassed him earlier, it would have been unfair to tell him no when he needed Prowlâs expertise. He was supposed to help bots, after all.Â
For the micro story thing: 4. one chance
sorry for taking forever and a half but iâm finally filling these out! an attempt was made at prowl
4. One Chance
One of the many things Prowl has learnedâfrom war and desolation and lossâis that sometimes, there is only one chance. One chance to make the shot, to fix a comrade, to escape. Yet, somehow, Prowl didnât expect this, this one chance to ruin the Decepticons turning into the one chance to ruin himself as well.

Too Tired to Function
thecolorsgreyâ:
It was a quick trip. Spec Ops quarters and the offices (and therefore the officersâ quarters) werenât that far away from each other, mostly due to the convenience of agents reporting in and then being able to rest as quickly as possible.
Prowl was quick to sort through his datapads to find what he needed. A supply report, a battle report to send to Prime, a datapad full of half put together defense strategies, and some transfer requests. Some of them would usually have gone elsewhere but Prime was notably busy and the mech who took care of supplies was in the medibay after being caught in an explosion.
He put what he couldnât fit into his subspace and carried the rest, before heading back to Hotshotâs quarters. As much as he could likely delegate it to someone else to keep an optic on the mech, he wouldnât bother his subordinates with something so simple when he himself could do it and not be hindered.
Prowl would be free to work without interruption for hours at least, finding that no one seemed to acknowledge Hotshotâs habsuite. The room was oddly quiet sans the sound of the smaller doorwinger venting in his recharge, but it was also rather relaxing. The soft hum of the ventilation unit, a gentle, sweet smell wafting through the air..
6 hours laterâHotshot would jolt awake, a hidden blade slipping from his wrist and throwing itself across the room towards Prowl. His aim was perfectâin such that it would fly by without hitting and dig into the wall with such precision that the current from the weapon shooting by was clear.Â
âO-Oh scrap! Officerâ!â Hotshot exclaimed, his doors flicking in alarm only to feel the dizziness hit. He wasnât tired this time around thankfully which helped him realize what was going on with his frame. âWhat.. are you doing in here?â
Prowl looked up from his datapad, optics coolly regarding the mech. âI commed the medic when I came back. I was told that it might be best to keep an optic on you, so I stayed to watch you. I was planning to anyway, but, well- a professional opinion always helps.â
He took a moment to look over Hotshot from his vantage point, then stood. âPerhaps you need more rest. You still look like youâre not completely well. It wouldnât do to have you sick or injured due to your tiredness.â
I donât like irreparable problems, he doesnât say, and youâre an asset.

âwhy do you seem to care about Hotshot? Any other mech you'd leave to heal themselves
âI like control a lot more than Iâd like to admit. And I do want the best for the mechs under my command, even if I sometimes make decisions they canât or donât want to understand. That combination, paired with an uncontrolled problem⌠I want to fix it, I need to have the level of control that can fix it. I hate when I canât control something. Maybe that is a bit obsessive, but sometimes control is all I have⌠especially in a war like this.
âBesides, heâs useful. Heâll continue be useful, in the long run. You donât throw a tool away because you donât need it right now. You keep it for when you do. Even if I do regret that mechs have to become tools, but war is war.â
