Not really for pride month, just something made with the sound test before getting out of hand. The sound quality is much higher than previous animations because I figured out how to export properly. Real post about Nina coming soon. Everything from the drawings to the music and sound sequencing was done in Flash, with stuff just lying around.

We Are So NOT Back: Hiatusu! Ekusupanshon!
How've y'been? The months shore flew by, eeh? I'm so glad to post again on my *cough* art blog, even for a short time. Things haven't been going so great, unfortunately, and this work of art inspired by my laptop's failing hard drive will tell you why.
Nina G. Willow makes a much needed return in this composite piece or something, and it's not looking good for her or her sister Veretta Limbola, for you see, their entire history and current existence are now in jeopardy.
After removing it from my laptop and inserting the hard drive into my desktop tower (which is what I'm using write now to draw and right this post- English amirite?), I found out the problem was not the fault of my laptop as a whole, but the hard drive itself all along... which is not good, because its failure force-boots into troubleshooting mode, where not even the built-in Windows 10 Automatic Repair Tool isn't able to remedy the situation.
I've tried everything but any thing that relates to a restore point, because I've lost all mine with updates, or resetting the PC, because I have no backups of anything, so if I can't transfer the files or get this HDD repaired, my children and every other precious thing around them will cease to be.
Addendum, Sept. 29, 2025. You'll see "hard drive" a number of times in this post, and there's a "HDD" in the previous paragraph. Hard Disk Drives proper are much larger due to using magnetic discs to store data, and the hardware where The "Sistas" resided originally is incorrectly labelled as such on a sticker behind Nina.
The square label on the left has "SSD" (Solid State Drive, which has become the modern way of storing data) on it, so needless to say, I feel really silly having told the guy at Micro Center and my father that I super-specially specifically needed an HDD ("-_-) The SSD that I did buy luckily does fit my laptop, but I never replaced the old one for reasons I'll get into for the upcoming post.
I miiight be able to copy files to my ~500gb solid state drive, called "Cyberspace", via Command Prompt—which I can access, thankfully, but a video told me to do that as a last resort, but even then it may not work 100%. I'm already at a low point; I've spent enough months grieving, and I'm afraid taking an L like this may kill me. Or I will.
...Nine years of irreplaceable memories and imagination, all down the drain. I could start from scratch, sure, but much like Nina's World, nothing's quite the same as the first time through... I'll also lose every file's metadata.
^ progress pictures shared with an acquaintance.
Anyways, how 'bout that picture, hmm? Took me a little over two hours, but I think I did an okay job. It was my first time trying to draw something 2D in our 3D world in an attempt to merge to the two dimensions, literally. The problem is, Nina can't actually break free, and because of the issues expressed above, she's practically trapped in the hard drive. I exaggerated her plight with contorted limbs and a pained expression. I also opted for a no-outlines-vibrant-solid-colours style, much like a previous animation.
Addendum, Sept. 29, 2025. Veretta was going to be part of the picture with her sister, but I didn't know how to include her, and I can't draw her as well as I can draw Nina since I haven't done much in terms of her design or plot. Veretta's somewhere juuust below the threshold of our world.
The real life picture under which Nina is overlaid is my hard drive on top of the laptop battery that needs to be replaced to function optimally. Other than that, I think I've covered everything. And those tags aren't wrong, this is definitely digital art: an illustration constructed in Flash MX 2004, drawn only with a mouse because it was an impulse drawing, and it was worth it. But damn, that hand really gave me some trouble because I limited myself with the art style, but working with a side profile made it better.
So yeah, I may be gone for another few months, but we'll see. In any case, thanks for reading.
"Turning Owl" Traditional Ink, Digital Paint
A small product of a hypothesis I've had stuck in my mind for months and had yet to act upon it until several nights ago as a means of expanding my animation methods, and I gotta say; not disappointed. It's a simple hand-drawn animation of a owl-like character looking to its side. Animated on paper with pencil and marker, clean-up and colouring done in Flash.
(There was originally a lot more, but I omitted it all of it as scrap because it strayed too far from what I wanted to say. There was gonna be all this talking about animation, and Dexter's Laboratory and Genndy Tartakovsky, and Chris Savino... the little paragraph above was on the edge of just BALLIN' outta control, but at last I settled on a plain and simple one-liner. Seriously, this should've been posted last week!)
Thanks for checkin' it out!

comeback, or "Pathetic." as I titled it on YouTube, is my latest animation made for my channel, and the first serious, though short, animation I made (AND FINISHED sorta) in a few years. In a twist, an animation is made for somewhere else first before here 0_o
Five years ago, a bit after starting here on Tumblr, I went to start my journey to achieve my childhood fantasy, not dream theres a difference, of becoming a YouTuber! but not really.
Come to think of it, I don't remember what exactly I wanted to be at the time of starting, which was Apr 1. 2020. I remember trying to make a channel intro with an incredibly cringe and horribly recorded message from yours truly. It went something like:
"oH, whAt'S This?? aNothEr AnimAtIon ChaNneL??? that's wROng! ...sAL-U-TAtiONs (voice crack), EvEryonE! mY Name iS 'TheClo4ked1', aNd I'm Here tO SaY weLcoMe to My cHAnnel :)"
I knowww I have that Audacity project file sssoOmewhere on this laptop, but I purposefully went by memory because it sounds worse in my head; therefore it looks better in text, eh? I clearly didn't want to be solely animation, I also love my good ol' fashioned "videos and games", so I thought of a Let's Play; Twitch being the current platform to which I allocate those.
...So back to the animation, it ended a little differently than I'd planned, I think the outcome is probably for the best as I "drafted" this as a true Channel Intro, but that day cannot come just yet. It was gonna feature the audio I mentioned above as a gag spouted by Rags that would get cut off by my higher quality voice coming through a soon-to-be-properly-set-up AT2020-XLR.
^ pictured Rags, Apr. 1, 2020. ~3AM
Oh yeah, Rags. I'm remembering that I specifically wanted an avatar, a persona, that had at least a chance to stand out, maybe even an odd one out *knowing smile*, but also something easy to animate. A lanky ragdoll with a button eye and an afro, but he's actually very paper flat, kinda like my man PaRappa (know that noodles rule the world).
Looking back, I realize I had ended up another white (as in no digital colouring, not race) YouTube animated avatar, but hey! I changed that in the animation above! My new avatar and my overall colouring style is based on a painting I did about a year back, as well as The X's' character designs.
I made a rule not to use black anywhere, even for shadows or my beloved jacket Vivienne, except when drawing Rags because that's how he was always drawn. Breaking down Rags, he's just two maybe three groups of black lines.
The animation itself is much more chopped to compensate for the new look- it would NOT be easy to do this for my usual 24fps, which is why I did this at 12. My avatar and Rags seem to glitch at points...
This is intentional. Working, I had frames and things I wanted to keep because they looked cool and important to the development. Not wanting them to go to waste, I snuck them in as inbetweens. There's one entire pencil sketch near the end that's used as an inbetween, but seeing it all together adds a bit of impact after that smear frame. Speaking of...
looks like shit on its own. I had fun making this one, but it's better seen in motion like any other smear frame.
Alright, I think I said everything about what's on YouTube. This Tumblr version, the uncut .SWF has an unfinished scenario where Rags is finna get SNAY-ATCHED! This was gonna be where that unused audio was gonna be.
Welp, that's everything. See ya. Thanks for reading!
Erratum: Of course, I noticed this only AFTER posting in both places. In the last shot, I've lost Vivienne! ...but I'm gonna go against consistency this time: I think the pose looks better without her (im sorry, baby).
The blue that colours her and the hair would make the overwhelming nature of the shot less interesting and more confusing because the colouring style might make you think "tf is that supposed to be an arm or the hair?".
Even with how it is now, you should be able to tell that's an arm, but you know what else? Even that lacks a small bit of shading ough i glubbed up :(
This persona, the puppet, and a lie.
Been trying a new art style in animation that lacks the outlines I love so much. I'll try to upload this little thing by April. In the meantime, enjoy this small teaser .GIF.
You can check out the Newgrounds context over here ( it's like a Tumblr post in a Newgrounds game description ;3 ) I'd appreciate the read very much, AND I'm getting close to finishing this little project! I'll be back, hopefully soon. Take care /_(*O*)_/

Gayshit Impass
Tonight, I was on a Discord call with partner. She plays Genshin Impact, or as we like to call it, "Gayshit". I can't get into Gayshit because the game is so. damn. big, and it's still having new content added. And that overwhelms me.
After a while of faffing about the computer, I decide to open Flash outta the blue and streamed my progress to partner. Once I got readjusted with the program (didn't take long), for a laugh, I started to draw Mona, partner's favorite character.
I kept giggling at the goofiness of it all. When I got to the legs, partner told me how Mona's got ass. I looked up results for proof and... GOT damn... While I was originally going to draw her much thiccer because of that fact, the final result is more comical.
Once I finished drawing the everything, partner told me that Mona attacks with a book, which I didn't know. But not a magical book, I drew a journal—a diary, actually; that's why it says "DIE". I soon went to work on the animation, which consists solely of Motion Tweens (and one hand-drawn element).
After the animation was done, I slapped on a background and some music from the game. I didn't get very far before quitting, but this is the only music I remember.
Addendum, Sept. 19, 2024. The music is in a lower pitch because Flash has issues with audio that have sample rates different than its own preferences, which I've read to be 44.1 kHz. The music, after converting the .mp3 to a .wav, is 44.8 kHz.
Credits:
Everything (Mona, background, music), but the diary, is derived from Genshin Impact by miHoYo; the music credited to Yu-peng Chen.
Addendum, Jul. 20, 2026. Internally, the .FLA is called "luci.mp4". It's no longer available on Newgrounds as of today; I unpublished it. I don't want to be reminded of that point of my life anymore. The short description was "moan from genshin throw bok :0"
Photo Dump: I'm not retro because it's trendy (is it still trendy?)
^ Digitized scans of some of my many prints. The left is a still life of my desk, the next two are my hand to a mirror, inspired by Cindy Sherman's Film Stills.
Months ago, I dove into the wonderful world of Film Photography, or Still Photography, Black-And-White Photography, which ever of these mean using a film camera to expose rolls of films to create exposures that are then chemically soaked and... Well, it's a long ass process; I'll tell ya hwat, boi.
I have no nostalgia for film cameras, I didn't know what exactly I was getting into, I thought it was more of digital photography stuff I used to do, but no, this was the real deal. I learned about exposure time, an fStop (I'm still a lil' stuck on it but), shallow and deep focus, a light meter, and other things some may take for granted on their smartphone cameras—I sound much older than I actually am, no wonder they call me a boomer :P It's all analog, baby.
Before studying film cameras, I used my digital camera as my preferred method of taking photos, it even has an added bonus of being waterproof. I still use it from time to time, it's not like it's obsolete, it's just that I was lent a film camera at the time. For the curious, I'd used a Nikon N6006, it has an automatic zoom and focus mechanism so it's a little easier to use than a more manually controlled camera like a Yashica FX-2, which was the film camera given to our family by my great-grandfather—I'll get back to this later.
But, back to the matter, it pays to learn about and to use a film camera to appreciate the photo process. You'll come to appreciate figures such as *does a pooh voice* mmm, cccindyyy sshhherrmannnnn... Cuz that how I remembered her name, but I ended up forgetting; nonetheless, I briefly studied her and her Untitled Film Stills; really interesting stuff.
She served as an inspiration for the last roll of film I had done. I have my portfolio (you've seen it above), a binder, and from this experience, I did six rolls of film with a total of... ~180 exposures and over 85 prints from those exposures because I gave some away to peers as what I called "gift prints".
The film used to take every single one of these pictures was 35mm Kentmere PAN 400. Like I implied before, I have no nostalgia or prior experience for this kinda stuff, so I can't say "Ah, good ol' Kentmere P400!", but it's said that these rolls are suitable for high-speed, general purpose black-and-white photography.
In my experience, these rolls would come with either 24 or 26 exposures. I preferred 24, but when I felt gutsy, 36. Below is a loose compiled list of my counting, and you may notice the exposure numbers are either one over, or exactly the numbers stated above. I don't know how I did that, but I'm glad I had extras.
1st roll, 37 expos, 12 prints plus roll call
2nd roll, 25 expos, 13 prints plus roll call
3rd roll, 37 expos, 26 prints plus roll call
4th roll, 36 expos, 13 prints plus roll call
5th roll, 24 expos, 9 prints plus roll call
6th roll, 24 expos, 13 prints plus roll call
The "roll call", for lack of better term, were prints of all my exposures from one roll lined up on film. I can only share these three pictures because a majority of these prints involve private things, not like pornography, but y'know, I have a lot of portraits of people whose identities will remain anonymous because I respect them. As good as those photos are.
There's a fourth that came before this post, of a friend, that's posted not on Tumblr, but on my former-Tumblr extension Instagram page that I won't delete until after August.
Anyways, I found my niche in still life compositions and portraits. When I asked people if I could take their photo (and if they consented), I'd ask them to do the thing they were doing before I approached them, like this one of my peer reading in a chair.
The "acting natural" look is what's most appealing to me, it shows people's character, even more so complimented with good composition, which I think I got a handle on—love me some Rule-Of-Thirds—and it helps in making the picture feel more realistic. On the rare occasion, I would have someone pose or act for me; few times I'd have to get somebody IN MOTION.
That's enough history and study. The future on the other hand... My great-grandfather's (but we don't call him that) Yashica: very old. After the whole experience in Still Photography, I wanted more, even though I don't have a darkroom or the chemicals to start development.
I remembered a camera in our basement, complete with a strap, a case, an attachable flash (I think it's down there somewhere), and a long-ranged zoom lens. After uncovering it, I fiddled around with, snapping imaginary photos since it didn't have film.
I was able to get it open by pulling up the hand crank. It was dirty and sticky, apparently so sticky that the shutter mirror got stuck after a few bouts of testing it. Tried as I could, the handle that rolls the film for another exposure was stuck, and even though I could open the camera, I couldn't meddle too much for risk of breaking something was high.
I looked up any forums posts and the camera's manual to see if there was any hope, but alas, there was none.
OR SO I THOUGHT! I found a camera shop some towns away that also offers camera repairs. It was about an hour of driving, so in early June, I made a plan to go there. I walked up to the guy behind the glass counter, and awkwardly asked if he could help me out.
I really wanted the camera fixed for sentimental reasons, but he suggested to just a buy a newer Yashica model; less expensive with more features, like an automatic battery-powered film winder, also by Yashica. It was able to get a "discount" because Granpa's old camera lens was still in good condition, so the lens that came with the new camera was replaced and will go to someone else.
Addendum, Jul. 17, 2024. I've wanted to include the model of my new camera but I was blanking on the name, and I didn't feel like taking it out of its carrying case because there's this one latch that's a hassle to pull off without feeling like I'll break something. This new camera is a Yashica FR II.
That store also came with a roll of, you won't believe it, 35mm Kentmere P400 film, with 24 exposures no less! He seem impressed I knew about it, and this gave me the impression that he must've thought I came to the store because "old and vintage camera for nostalgia I wasn't even a thought at the point in time to exist and enjoy it".
Tangent/Addendum. Jul. 17, 2024: I've said it before: I have no nostalgia for this, I just find this interesting, and grayscale photography appeals to me in the artistic sense that these tones convey a different feeling than in colour. For those history buffs out there, black-and-white and monochromatic photography, like cyanotype, was all they had at the time... Uhh, I could be wrong. I just know that autochrome was invented much later, and the pigments and the starches and things and...
Another reason I enjoy film photography is that you get to touch your pictures: the photo negatives on the film rolls. That's your picture in 3D space (sorta). It is not a print, that is your picture in RAW FORM. Well, no, if you just took out your film roll in raw form, it would get burnt by the slightest light and you'd lose all your would-be photos. That's why we have to load our film onto a reel in a pitch-black room, easier said than done by the way, which is then loaded into a canister for chemical processing, i.e. development. So, it's more PROCESSED/RAW FORM than RAW/RAW FORM.
I wasn't offended, I don't remember, and I don't care to remember because we got to talking thereafter, and I recounted the long and boring process I went through just to get the film developed, stopped, fixed, the works; how it would always take about an hour or so. After the business was done, I thanked him and went back to the car.
I sat there admiring and getting a handle on my new camera. Meanwhile, nearby, a group of high-schoolers were walking by in fancy outfits. I asked if they were getting ready for graduation, which they were, so I said "Oh, congratulations!" I felt older than I actually was, but in this instance, I was older than them. They are similar to who I was. They're moving on to another chapter in their lives... I decided it was time to go home, so I packed my camera as safe as I could in my backpack, and drove off.
Come a short time later that month, after I gently cleaning the camera's exterior and part of the interior with some alcohol and loading the film as best as I could... The counter wouldn't go up, so I kept opening and readjusting the beginning end of the film strip that's always exposed so you can load it properly. The thing about film photography: you're betting on the film to be okay. You are blind, you're going to have to trust that the film is doing fine and that your capturing EXACTLY what you think you are...if you're using default program settings.
Trying to figure out where the "start" of the film was, I pulled the film out slowly. I pulled a little more. I pulled a little more. I pulled, it was all this purple gray, which isn't how I remember loading the film into my lent Nikon. I've come to the conclusions either I messed up the film or that the film was left in the store for far too long.
And about the counter being presumably broken, Yashica cameras are apparently known for their faulty mechanisms... Oh no.
Thanks for reading!
(I took those moon pictures 10 days prior, it was a perfect night but anyways) June 29, around 2.00am:
After many years of NOT trying, but now actually putting in all, and I mean... ALL. of my effort some months ago—then, taking a break because I became busy with stuff, and...
Bottom line: very early that morning, I finally collected all the Chaos Emeralds in Sonic 2 (1992 via the Mega Collection, not the Mobile Ports or Origins), definitely the hardest of the tetralogy (1, CD, 2, 3K) to do such a task, though I can't decide which of the other three I'd order next by decreasing difficulty.
I say Sonic 2's set is the hardest because the Special Stages' design and "strategy" relies heavily on trial-and-error, i.e. memory. Let's say if, for example, an unassuming casual with little to no experience with this game, had a go at obtaining even one Emerald, I'd wager they'd fail the first Special Stage at least once before succeeding—I assume that because that's the only one (out of the seven) I have relatively sufficient knowledge in life thus far... I'm saying I know it well enough to beat it first try with little mistake.
I don't know if it was ever on my bucket list, but it seemed it should have come sooner. Before June 29, I had previously collected all 14 Emeralds in 3&K, the seven Time Stones in CD (2011 via PSN, not the Gems Collection), then the six Emeralds in Sonic 1 (via Sonic Generations); all milestones happening in very distant points in my life.
Sonic 2 had always seemed the most difficult to me, so for every time I had followed through with beating the game, I had ignored the Special Zone even though I was capable of getting, at most, two of the Emeralds before really biting the bullet- the bomb, actually.
...A disclaimer: I did this feat playing as Sonic alone for the adventure so Tails wouldn't *CRASH* and make us lose the Rings needed to reach the quota. I've tried before as Sonic and Tails, and I'm sure it's possible with enough time and patience (more than I already have), but you need to time your inputs about a second earlier than you normally would because the Tails CP is programmed to copy Sonic's movements to act like he's really following you, Sonic; seeing him jump, processing, then reacting in accordance.
It's not quite frustrating, but when I need to jump over bombs, I'll do that. Tails, though? *CRASH* and then I reflexively squeal "tAiLS" like a stern parent.
[ ! ] The following is not an Addendum, this post has just been in the drafts for an extended period of time, and I haven't got around to finishing it.
So, not even a month later (Jul. 16, 2024, around midnight), I get all the Chaos Emeralds with Tails by my side. It was just as difficult as I'd hypothesized above. Miraculously, I snagged the seventh Emerald by the time I reached Oil Ocean Zone Act 2, just before Metropolis Zone Act I-Forgot-But-I-Think-It-Was-3, which is when I finished the first time.
It's hard to prove this to you because the Super Sonic "Good Ending" will play regardless of whether Tails is with Sonic or not. You're just gonna hafta "trust me bro."
I'm rather proud of myself, I'm starting to believe that if you really get off your ass and put your mind to something, you can achieve it (with a few exceptions I will not name). Here, watch this, I'd like to share it, I think it's funny and a motivator.
I was forgetting why else I wanted to write this post, but I just remembered: the subtitle "The Sonic Month Ever" is relevant because the Sonic Symphony World Tour showed up a while ago in June and I saw it. It was more special because, as any Sonic fan would know, June is Sonic's birthday month. I got to sing (luckily you don't have to hear how hoarse my voice got by the end of it) and jam with all these strangers around me; it was great, and having played Sonic Mania for myself some time before that event made me squeal during its medley.
Sonic Mania made me fall back in love with Classic Sonic, that game is so fucking GOOD, seriously, I've been all over the Mega Collection lately, I haven't touched a fuggin' Colours, or a Generations, or a friggin uhhh Unleashed, or something idk in a long time... Joking aside, I still have to finish Frontiers ever since I wiped my save data to make a complete experience for the Final Horizon update soooo...
Oh! Here's a useful life tip: make system restore points on your computer. You don't wanna be like Uncle MAI whose precious Sonic Symphony videos and pictures got corrupted and were thankfully recovered and restored by PhotoRec. Seriously, this happened yesterday, my MicroSD card shit on me and I almost resorted to actually giving money to a data recovery software (lookin at you Disk Drill fuck you piece a shit).
I'll spare you the ranting, I did enough of that when I first lost everything ok byye

doodles during downtime: these characters must exist somewhere in real life...
A game: take a shot for every time I say something along the lines of "I didn't plan for this thing."
Much like last summer, I've hardly been drawing anything due to how burnt out I feel. This time, I feel too distracted and slightly unmotivated to draw. Last Saturday; however, I took two thrown-out receipts from old orders and, using the Sharpie marker I had, I made these sketches. It evolved from the wrestling match (that was done in pen), to the pizza guy on the far left, to the male face on the right...
...to a guy and these female characters beside him. I guess the influence of ink drawing extends to markers (well it is also ink, but not the drippy wet kind). Some co-workers who saw my drawings would be like "damn you drew that? thas mad cool" and I'd just reply modestly with gratitude.
My favorite of the two papers is this bottom one. It began with the guy who's just this dude; always looking down with large headphones around his neck. He has thin, messy hair and an wrinkled brow. I didn't plan on it, but with the woman I drew next to him, it appears he's just starring at her large bosom (a big simp he is) as he thinks "MY LORD...". Hehe, he marveled exceedingly ;) wait no, I stopped reading that book months ago.
Anyways, I stifled my chuckling when I saw that kind of story cuz I was in a public space at the time of realization. That woman began with the face. I wanted to draw a beautiful American woman straight out the 1950s, but... I got fucking Ursula holding a cigarette instead, somehow. I don't remember if I'd ever fully watched The Little Mermaid in my life, but y'know what I think? I think this character I've drawn looks good! I think the ink brings out this "charm" that I didn't plan.
...I oftentimes don't plan things, and I realize this is both a blessing and a curse :p
I think I was thinking of this one black and white photograph from around the 50s that I studied, I could be wrong, though.
That last face that looks afraid her (yes, that is a woman) eyes will get burned by the lit cigarette was... I can't remember if I intended for this to "be" anything. Well, that can be said for just about everything shown. Just stuff off the noggin. Like Marinette up there, I improv', just like the way I improv'd that .GIF; I- I had to make it because... I couldn't... find one already made.
Moving on, that face was drawn before the cigarette.I didn't plan on her to look like she's fearing that her corneas will soon feel pain, that's just how I seem to roll. You can probably tell it was an afterthought by the way I drew the arm. It's less detailed relative to everything else. The hand is probably a bit off, too.
Listen, I did manage to get a Faster Stronger Better Gaben- I mean a new computer with TONS more space. Now that I have a clean slate, I have to consider things about my very important files left on my old computer. Many source files I have there are tied to projects and animations, so I'm not sure how I should go about transferring them, if I should at all. Because of this dilemma, I'll have to switch from my new computer to my old laptop for certain things for now.
Something left back there that I'm worried about is PROJECT NINA's pilot animation. My end-goal was just to write her story. Then I wanted to turn it into an animated series. Now, it will ultimately become a videogame to combine all the skills I've acquired in life; these skills being art and music, and computer science. Voice acting, however...
^ This was the first animation made on the new computer as a test.
