âStupid fly,â Bryce mumbled to himself, allowing a small sigh to escape from his lips as he finally lifted his head from the book in front of him. Heâd tried to ignore the fly as best as he could, but his heightened senses made it next to impossible. He heard every flap of its wings, every buzz, he could feel it land on his arm, he could feel it flying around- and it was starting to drive him nuts. âThatâs it,â he stated, his eyes narrowing as he focused on the fly, âYouâre mine now!â he cried out, as he thrust his hand into the air, grabbing ahold of the fly between his index finger and thumb. âThisâll teach you not to mess with me!â he spoke with a laugh as he brought the fly in front of his face. âNow run off and tell your friends,â he gave one final warning before opening his hand and allowing it to fly off. And then, almost as if it had never happened he turned his focus back to the book in front of him.Â
âdid you just? iâm so confused.â flora admitted, watching the other rather closely. what had just happened? she wasnât really that sure but whatever it was it was weird. âyou caught a fly, spoke to it, and then let it go. what was the purpose in that?â she asked, watching him rather closely now.Â

âalright guys, thatâs a wrap,â willa called out, taking a long sip from her water bottle. after an finishing her last yoga group training in the day, she needed a drink. one of her clients had caused a few issues earlier, which had caused more stress than she needed. turning to face the only other person left in the room, willa arched an eyebrow. âdo you need anything, or did you just want the company cause iâm about to head to the bar if you care to join?â
flora didnât normally do things like this, but she had been recommended to take a yoga class to learn to relax and relieve the stress she always had. she had to admit she did feel a bit better, but she wasnât convinced that this was helping just yet. âsorry. just taking my time.â she said, still lacing up her shoes. âi donât really drink, but i wouldnât mind the company.â flora admitted.Â

Will was on the hunt for his wallet. He didnât remember where he last used it or put it, but he knew he did a morning jog around the park and he didnât leave anywhere without his walletâexcept for this case, along with the many other times he had lost it. âOhâuh thanks. I donât mean to bother you with yourâŚwriting? Writing.â William became distracted by her writing. âWhat are you writing about?â
âmy life as a mutant.â flora admitted rather shyly. people probably thought it was odd, but flora wanted people to read how shit life was for people like them. she knew would never publish it because no publisher would associate with a known and wanted mutant, but she was still writing it. maybe there was hope for the future.Â

JAKE LET OUT a sigh of relief at the feeling of the sun on his face â working nights meant that most of the time, his circadian rhythm was completely out of sync and he never got to spend much time in the daylight. but today was his day off and he was going to enjoy every minute of it, starting with a relaxing walk in the park.
he smiles at the person in question, sitting down next to her, making sure heâs not invading her space too much. âthanks,â jake greets, never one to shy away from talking to others. he canât help but notice the papers in her lap. âwhatâre you working on? if you donât mind me asking, of course.â
âjust writing.â flora said. ânot anything specific, it was kind of just a write from the heart thing.â she said. flora was very bad at making plans before she wrote. most of it was a sit there until something comes to mind and that was exactly how the day was going. âitâs not very good if iâm being honest, but sometimes you just have to write.âÂ

mirei glanced at the fellow girl, then quickly shook her head, involuntarily bending herself- bowing. âno, no, no,â she mumbled, gesturing to the seat, âIâm not, i just wanted a picture of the place,â she said, holding up her camera. then she noticed the notebook⌠what was that? maybe the girl was a witch. âare you.. are you coming up with some spell ?â she asked, curious. other than some recognisable letters, mirei couldnât decipher what language the writing seems to be made of.
flora giggled a bit and shook her head. âno. no, not a witch.â she said. âthat would be really cool though. my power is omnilingualism. i uh sometimes write in the wrong, well not wrong but different languages and my messy handwriting probably doesnât help.â she said, laughing. âi was writing an article for the paper about the new shipments we have coming in.âÂ
rosariviera¡:
rosa was out taking pua for a walk, something that often resulted in heads turning, people grumbling in detest at the local vegetarian as some referred to her. she didnât mind it, or the names, but after some time they did get exhausting. but as she was stopped by a dog walker with a curious pup, rosaâs grip on the leash managed to loosen and with the dog frightening, pua and running off, heading straight for flora.
â shit,â rosa cursed out loud, instantly following after, annoyance washing over her as pua managed to snatch what looked like a food wrapper off the bench.. âIâm sorry,â she breathed out, nearly out of breath now as she caught up to the two.Â
flora was quite confused by the pig. it was an odd sight to see, though flora didnât mind it, she was just confused. âyouâre alright.â flora said, shifting her things and trying to get the wrapper back from the pig. âis this your pig?â she asked, looking up at the other. âtheyâre very cute.âÂ

coffee in hand, carson walked among the park. legs aching a little from all the work he did this morning, carson needed to sit down. he headed over to the bench, shaking his head as the other shuffled over. âoh no, itâs fine, i can sit on the floor if you want.âÂ
flora giggled a bit at him saying that he'd sit on the floor, that was a bit unnecessary in her opinion. especially now that sheâd moved all of her things. âno no.â she said. âyouâre fine, you can sit on the bench.â she said.Â
empathicgene¡:
âSure yâdid. I just likely wasnât a conscious decision on you behalf,â he mused aloud, hands in his pockets, shoulders slumped forward. He declined the offer to sit by remaining standing, he hadnât gone for a walk to sit, after all. âWriting the next bestseller, are ya?â he asked, nodding towards her plethora of papers.
âi wish.â flora said, looking at the page she had been working on. âi donât think anyone would ever read it though.â she admitted. she really wasnât confident in her writing, especially the personal parts about her time as a mutant.Â
vanmccrs¡:
august was only walking to his new quarters, but decided to sit down anyway, picking up one of the notebooks the girl had lying open. his brow knitted together. âsome interesting stuff youâve got here.â
floraâs looked up at him nervously as he spoke. âyou really think so?â she asked. most of her writing was fictional but the notebook he had picked up had some stuff about her experience as a mutant and what it meant to her.Â

with nothing to do now that sheâs off duty, kennedy had filled her evening with a few miles of running. on her way back, she decides to take a breather and was perfectly happy to rest against the tree she had been approaching when the woman catches her attention. she only manages to make out a few words here and there, but the gist of it is grasped. she nears slowly and tentatively sits on the edge of the bench, not wanting to move closer due to her own desire of personal space. âwhat are you doing?â
flora was glad the other had come and taken a seat. she truly did feel bad that she was taking up so much room, but she worked better when she was outside. she just felt more relaxed, which was pretty understandable. âi was writing a story.â she said, glancing down at her writing and noticing that she had swapped between languages a few times. good thing no one else had to understand the rough draft.Â
honcychurch¡:
piper was looking for work, but there were so many roadblocks these days that she barely had the time to even start on something before she was dragged back into caring for oliver. he had a fever now, and was coughing even as she rocked him back and forth. âcan you hand me the blanket over there?â she asked, pointing to the small square of cloth on the table. âit must be all of the changing weather. everyoneâs getting sick.â
flora leaned over and picked up the blanket before holding it out to the other. âiâve heard sitting in a bathroom with a hot shower helps with the cough.â she said after noticing the poor kid and how he was coughing.Â
flora sat on a bench in the park, writing in one of her many notebooks. the writing to most people was illegible but to flora that was just the way she wrote. she could read it and that was all that mattered. when she noticed a person walking by, she looked up. âyou can sit if you want. i didnât mean to take the whole bench up.â she said quiet, shuffling herself and the papers around to make room in case the other person wanted to sit.Â
