Two weeks ago, I finished my last med school classes. To be able to write that “I finished med school” is so overwhelming, in the best way. The next day, I visited Zakopane with a couple of friends and it couldn’t have been a more beautiful, inspiring, or refreshing trip. If you know me, then you know that I’m about to get a lil deep. 😅 The walk up to Morskie Oko Lake wasn’t super difficult, but we did stop for some rests (I gotta take my time on those inclines lolol), and there were a couple of times that the route faked me out and I thought we were at the end, only to be met with more climbing or walking. It was long and endlessly winding, but the way my lungs felt filled with refreshing air as we finally walked up on this spectacular scene... I can’t describe it. It had been pretty cloudy the whole way there, then we decided to walk all the way around the lake for different views, and by the time we finished climbing over rocks, crossing the waterfall, and carefully finding our footing through the areas of snow, the sun had finally broken out above us on the other side, leaving us with stunning moments of picturesque memories to seemingly congratulate us for a day of hiking well done. It feels just like yesterday that I was looking at my google calendar for January, silently praying and asking for God’s help to make it through that doozy of a month. And now here we are, only a couple months out from the new year (trying to prep for all the “Now I can see clearly - with 20/20 vision” jokes that’re sure to come lolol), and I can’t help but be so grateful for God’s faithfulness in bringing me to this beautiful day. Time is a gift that flies by so quickly, but in this hullabaloo of life, there is so much to pause & be grateful for.
