ā© Authorās notes: Iām trying out a different format, me not writing for so long has definitely made me reflect on how my formats look as you saw, I want a balance between it looking nice and it actually being practical to work on (as much as Iāll miss the beautiful gradient, itās not very practical on mobile); Gn reader, youāre a star toon but Iām pretty vague about the details to leave room for interpretation, you take on active role and helping Astro ā©
It was almost inevitable Astro and you get along so well, it wasnāt uncommon to see yāall often paired up for greets and other Gardenview events; you often took the speaking role, not minding the attention that would come with it. You often were seen on Astroās floor due to having a nook of your own in said exhibit, though you also just seem to gravitate towards him in general. While not being made with the explicit purpose of being pairedāIt just kind of played out like that? You act as the guiding light for Astroās exhibit, helping lost guests find their wayā¦ and making sure they didnāt nag Astro too badly. Guests can be a bitā¦ much at times.
During slow days or after closing; you could catch Astro sleeping in odd, ducked-off spots in the exhibit. He always looked so peaceful and honestly? A bit quite breathtaking. Despite that, you couldnāt just leave him thereāwell you could, but you wouldnāt! But you donāt really have the heart to wake him upā¦ so you came up with a better idea of just carry him to his room, or at least a better spot. Astroās quite cold, not that itās too much of a problemāyou run on the warmer side more often than not, being a star and all, but it is something to take a note of. Sometimes it makes you a bit tired yourself, though could just his effect on others.
Early on when you started this trend of yours, there was a bit of a learning curve to trying to figure out what best way to carry him without waking him up. The first time, he was surprised and almost, embarrassed? You insisted that nobody had seen the two of you and you were almost to his room anyway, of course you obliged when he asked you kindly to put him down regardlessāfollowed with an apology of your own. Curiously enough though, he didnāt see him bother at the idea itself of being carried. So soon, you just got better at finding new routes; paths guests or other toons wouldnāt ever consider walking through. Plus, the fact that both of you glowed certainly helped as much as it made you think more carefully.
Sometimes you wonder if Astro is always asleep every time you do itāObviously you know heās not testing his luck, but you couldāve sworn that this wasnāt as common of a occurrence before all of this. Maybe you just started to take notice because you were actively looking? But you swears that he glows just a little brighter when you find him, though youāre probably not faring much better yourself.
If itās late enough, youāll find yourself resting with him once you get to his room. He has so many soft blankets and pillows that you kinda just, sink into it. Itās hard to blame yourself really, itās a reward for your hard work you muse!ā¦ though maybe your true wish is that your dear Astro visits your dreams again, thanking you with a gentle kiss to seal the deal.
