A Burning House

it's been over three years since I last posted something on this site and even longer since I last posted something about One Direction. I just wanted to express my thoughts since this blog was my CORE outlet for my love of the boys.

I've seen so many posts throughout the years about Liam and his struggles post-band. While I 100% support Maya in how she chooses to characterize Liam, the young girl within me who fell in love with the boys more than ten years ago is hurting so badly.

I don't know why, but part of me is struggling to reconcile with the fact that Liam is gone and that he left the world in a state of pain -- both mental and emotional.

I know that there was nothing that I could've done, but part of me feels so sad and guilty at the idea of him struggling so much to the point where he wasn't able to get better or attempt to make amends with those who were hurt by him.

I'm also sad because Liam was also a victim himself, something that my adolescent self never realized during One Direction's prime.

This reality is so heartbreaking. I pray that Liam has found peace. I pray that his family finds peace. I pray Maya finds peace. I pray that the boys find peace.

One Direction was better because you were in it and now it will never be the same in your absence.
