Coming back to find my voice
Now I really have not written in a while. It is the middle of off season and I am back from Alaska.
How do I simplify things? How do I go back to looking at things without complexity? Without understanding everything is connected, and that time is just a construct. The past is the now and the future is just folded.
I was on a good path. Almost a full year of what truly felt like love and light. And it crumbled. He trips me up. I feel like carnage with the wheels still turning, revving the engine more but only to burn rubber and go nowhere.
And still, I want him. Or is it that I want him to want me? When does the cat and mouse end? Two avoidants, will that ever work?
Why do I feel like I’ve reverted to projection and insecurity? Why does this work feel endless? Will I ever be able to feel grounded and appreciative of this town again? Am I growing bitter?
Why is life easier when heart strings aren’t being pulled? Is this all in my head? I find myself questioning my sanity. I notice my thoughts flying down old paths. I thought I was done with that. Can’t the past leave me alone?
Help.

The Path Of The Water Witch
Water Witches are sometimes called Sea Witches, but many of them find a calling with inland creeks, rivers, and lakes. It is rare for them to limit themselves to any one type of body of water. They generally align with all forms, including rain.
In most mythologies, human sprang from the Earth, but the gods themselves came from water. Egyptian theory states that the sun god Re was born from the primordial waters. Today, scientists can back that theory, NASA scientists theorize that water exists in heavy quantities in the universe. It works as a coolant. The water vapors in outer space for the condensing of clouds. Once a cloud condenses enough, it becomes a star.
Water reflects, the Water Witch does the same. If you yell at her, she will yell back at you. If you are kind to her well, she will be kind and treat you well in return. She is very fair. She shares many qualities with her sister Earth Witch, as the Earth is 90 percent water. Among those qualities is the core belief of taking complete responsibility for her actions. The Water Witch accepts that every move she makes can cause ripples across the surface of the water and moves accordingly.
Water is considered a feminine force, and the Water Witch may prefer an alliance with the Goddess, all the while recognizing and maintaining that the God is within the Goddess. She cans sometimes relate closely to Dianic Witches in this preference.
The Water Witch can see things that those on other paths cannot. In fact, the human sense of sight belongs in her realm. Just as the seas teem with life that we have yet to discover and understand, the Water Witch know s that there is much more to our world than what is within our eyesight! While she can be highly superstitious, for the most part she simply knows that there is more just waiting to be discovered, as well as some things that humanity has known about and forgotten over the ages. The old phrase “out of the blue” speaks volumes about the ability of the Water Witch to tune in to her intuition. She is often very gifted in divination practices. Tarot is usually her divinatory tool of choice, but she also has a talent for dowsing.
The Water Witch sees little that she considers an obstacle. She understands that her fate is in her hands, and if she cannot flow through something, she will flow around it. Once her mind is made up, very little can stop her from obtaining what she wants. Because water exists in three forms on Earth, The Water Witch can be considered a formidable force. She will not admit to any weaknesses.
The Water Witch has a close link to the feminine side of nature. She understands reproduction and is akin to her sister Earth Witch in this manner as well. Menstruation falls in the realm of the Water Witch. Because of this, she is instrumental in moon-lodge practices and coming-of-age rites. Her sister Earth Witch may focus more on the rebirth cycle, while the Water Witch is more in touch with creation.
The Water Witch specializes in healing, cleansing, beauty, emotions, intuition and energy. Her magickal style is usually based on instinct. If the feeling hits her to perform a cleansing, she will. She does not necessarily worry about correspondences and timing. Her timing is completely her own–she will not be rushed by others into decisions or action. Schooled in water magick, ice magick and snow magick, the Water Witch can tell you all about the role of water in the metaphysical and physical realms.
Winter is the season when the Water Witch’s power is at its peak. She holds within herself the ability to transform fluidity to solid form during the winter, the same way that water turns to ice. It is during this season that the Water Witch should turn her view inward and evaluate her goals. She often redefines herself through the process. Because of this, a Water Witch grows stronger every year. She understands that just as dry ice is sticky, it is her role to hold thing together.
Throughout the winter months, the Water Witch is abnormally busy, even for her active lifestyle. Because she is at her highest power and incarnated in all three of her forms during these months, she may be short of temper. When you add to that the fact that artificial heat (fire, an evaporating influence on water) is usually pumped into the home during this time and families tend to be cooped up in the same space, you may have one cranky, stressed-out Water Witch on your hands. She longs for room to spread out and flow. A simple snowfall can ease her mind and soothe her spirit; she draws strength from it. If that is not an option, a long bath or a cup of hot tea usually helps. Rest assured that if you visit her in the winter months, she will be a very gracious hostess, regardless of the timing. The Water Witch is known for her generous hospitality.
Her home décor is usually unthemed, with whimsy being the main rule. The Water Witch may have a quirky collection of glass objects, prisms (she tends to like sparkly things), tons of throw pillows and an aquarium. Cool blues and greens are often primary colors in both her wardrobe and her home.
Due to her busy lifestyle, the Water Witch frequently has to let the housework slide somewhat. Although she prefers all things to be clean, she also understands that there must be “salt in the sea.” In other words, a small amount of dirt is inevitable, and she is able to live with that comfortably. She absolutely cannot stand clutter, though. It drives her to distraction.
Another common trait of the Water Witch is a quirky sense of humor. It simply cannot be defined. Some of the things she says seem to come from outer space in their relation to the topic, yet they can make you laugh as nothing else will. This is intentional–the Water Witch is lighthearted. But just when you begin to think she has never had a deep thought in her life, she will prove you wrong. When it comes to serious conversation, the Water Witch can often put her finger on an aspect of the situation that the other Elemental Witches do not see. The Water Witch is very wise.
Like her mythical brethren the mermaids and water nymphs, the Water Wise tends to love long hair. She may keep it pulled back in a ponytail due to a lack of time, but she lets it grow nonetheless. The effects that water has on the body are directly in line with the metaphysical attributes of the Water Witch. Usually beautiful, she is often younger looking in appearance than in age and has a long memory and attention span and bright, shining eyes.
Because the Water Witch always considers every side of an argument before making up her mind, she may be slow to assume a position. Rest assured that when a Water Witch states her opinion., it has been well thought out. She open-minded and fair. Her strength lies in her dual nature an a ability to see the points or view of others. And like water, she will find her way into all of the small nooks and crannies of a situation. She may initially choose an answer based on instinct but if new facts come to light, she will often change her mind. She is flexible.
Those on the water path often find a calling in helping others. They make wonderful therapists, psychiatrists, obstetricians, pediatricians or service personnel. Often people are attracted to their soothing nature and come to them for advice. Like a waterbed, a reflecting pool , or a relaxing bath, Water Witches project an aura of serenity and comfort.
The Water Witch may be seen as moody, but like the sea herself, she is often in motion. She rarely slows down. She is full of energy and always on the go. And like the sea, her moods swing with the tides. The moon holds sway over the tides, and one can easily draw a parallel between the moon and the Water Witch’s emotional patterns.

I met a hippy mountain boy
Well, he isn’t really a boy. 32 would constitute as a man I suppose. He has the best energy. We started hanging when he comes into town. We met at the park and played the violin. I left feeling really happy, and thought maybe he was cute.
So he told me he is out here every Wednesday for work. He is a massage thearapist for the city of Aspen. He lives in Paonia on Willie Volkhausen’s farm. With that being said... I don’t really know what he does for work. He makes good money ski instructing in the winter. Nick. Ex-pro free heeler.
Aspen Life. A year and some later.
I haven’t written in a while. When I say awhile, I’m talking like 2 years. I forget how to do this. But honestly, I need the practice. How time flies, or drags on for that matter. How much I have built for myself out here. I think I remind myself too often of the fire that fueled me out here.
Summer is easy. So much more enjoyable than last summer. you know how the unenjoyable/uneventful/not-so-meaningful times seem too forgettable? That’s like last summer. I had more heartache last summer. Pat Sewell. That was a lesson and a half. Julia thinks there is still chemistry there. I think that’s interesting.
Victor isn’t even quite my energy to talk about. I think of him too much only of how uninterested I am in him. I was about to write more, but I don’t even have the slightest care to do so.
I hate how you know everybody’s sex life in this town. I like the shy boys. The sexy shy boys don’t exist. The attractive good boys, they don’t exist either. I want someone to cuddle with..... maybe, I think?
Mama bear has to have surgery. A lump was found in her left breast. We’re playing the waiting game until her consultation tomorrow to determine the plan of action.
I miss her. I miss my family, and my home. This all has made me wonder if I truly am at home her in Colorado. I finally feel established and have the friends I longed for over the past year. I plan on buying a one way ticket home during her radiation. The thought of the actual process of everything scares me. I feel so far from home.
I’m not going to find my Prince Charming in Aspen. I’m not going to raise a family out here. How long do I stay? At what point do I leave? This isn’t the real world and I know it.
The hardest part of this summer has been trying to figure out my finances.
I want to pay September and October before I go back to NY. That’s $1,200. $50 for the Bustang. Roughly $500 for plane tix (buying one ways). Do I try and pay for November now as well? Okay, so we are talking $2,400. I’m expecting $2,000 in the next week though...
1. Black And Brown Ft Danny Brown (00:00) 2. Long Story Short (03:40) 3. Sundays Best (08:34) 4. Broken Wax Instrumental (10:41) 5. Shut It Down (11:47) 6. D...

We can deal with anything peacefully, with a smile even. Anything. Try it, I promise it's one of the best things you'll experience.
From Baio's debut album The Names available 9/18. Pre-order now and get new tracks "Sister of Pearl", "Brainwash yyrr Face", and "Endless Rhythm": http://sma...
A lot of music videos these days tell a story and incorporate outside actors to portray a certain notion that somehow relates to the lyrics of the song. Rarely do you find a music video that highlights actual elements to which composite the song itself. Baio’s, “Sister of Pearl” music video is simple and wonderful. It has no story other than the singer giving the song in a delightful, casual way. Love it.
Picture of the Day! Visits from Sara. Akron Falls 11/16/15
We caught up about her Thailand adventures and her two weeks back. We chatted just like old times. We walked around to the swings and swung for a bit. the warm sun was nice for mid November.
Where did I go?
It seems I’ve gotten caught up and forgotten this. Or maybe I was finally in a good place and didn’t think I still needed this. Well I got off track again.....

To try and catch up. Here we go
Trying to recall but need to work backwards....
8/31-
9/1-
9/2-
9/3
9/4-
9/5- Woke up at Jon’s on the couch. Rounded up the troops and we went to Ashker’s. Ivana and I drove jon back and she tried to find her bracelet. Carly and her boo met us at my house. Packed all Von’s shit and they left for roc. I chilled with my mama and packed, waiting for Jake. He picked me up and we stopped at a fruit stand. Got Corn and peaches. Went sailing then out on the boat, ya know the typical lake stuff. Ate and drank all weekend. Party for the ring of fire at the Kreuters. Did some blow with Colin. Jake and I had life chats after hot tubbing with Nick.
9/6-bunch of jetskiing and boating again. Jake left and nick and I went to the Hogarths to see Haley and drink then Mux’s. Alex was hammered at Greta’s along with everyone else. They starting stripping and doing naked gains off the boat garage. Nick, CJ and i left and I knocked out.
9/7- Woke up kind of late. Nick was out sailing. I went for a swim and had my music playing on the beach. Nick and I went to Carla Gerrie’s to get her jetski. We jetskied a lot that day. More boozing. Met up with Alex and Greta on Brendan Goodings boat. Went to his place for drinks. Nick and I took the jetski to Hogarths and drank more. Back to his place for din. Packed up. Picked up CJ’s roommate in Victor and we drove back together. They dropped me off. Chilled and called it a night.
9/8- 7:30 am pt. Showered and worked open to close. Came home and chilled then bed. Lame day.
9/9- Slept in a little. Work open to close. Nobody was home. Went to OP and Mckinley for Oakley. Met up with Steph, Mickayla and Derek at Blue Monk. Mickayla left steph and steph and derek wanted to bang. It was obnoxious. I left pissed at steph. Knocked out at home.
9/10- Worked open to close. Hit up Spot in Williamsville to do sme Oakley work. Met up with Dan at the Steer. He said Anthony was there. I told him I didn’t want to see him so he said we could go outside when I got there. I walked in and they were sitting together. Anth got up and gave me a hug and asked how I’ve been. I didn’t give him much attention. Walked over to the bar to fumble over my wallet bc I was shaking from seeing him. Chilled outside. After some booze I loosened up. Smoked cigs and life chatted. Sawick’s cousin Emily came with her friends. We chilled outside. They left. Dan and I walked out to his car and he drove me to mine. I parked it in front of Mackenzie’s and chilled up at her place for like 2 hours waiting for Ryan to come to the Steer but I was sooooo tired I gave up and drove home at like 1 am.
9/11- Had pt. Showered there bc I thought I had work at noon. Started driving to Snow then Trevor said I didn’t need to come in until 2 because it was dead. So I went to OP to get the shot I forgot before. I did my Oakley work at Spot with a matcha then went to Snow. Got out a little early. Went home to change. Went to Kenz’s where they were having people over. Got reallyyyy drunk. Kissed Ryan a little. I was just super horny that night I knew I would be. Went to the Steer bc Ryall was going. He kept touching my butt and his gf was there. She loves me. She is super about him. He’s not reciprocate. She bought me a shot. He is always super flirty with me. All the Clarence boys were loving me. I went back to Kenz’s. People were chillin. I was texting Ryan. I wanted sex and was trying to convince him to come back and cuddle. Haha he would have too if he had a ride. He called me perfect. Oh well, fell asleep after considering driving to North but didnt feel like it. Good, I was too drunk. I was impressed he was a good kisser. Better than other Ryan. Passed out on the couchhhh.
9/12- Woke up at the girls on their couch. Shawn was on the other couch. He said he got a text from a friend who was in jail and needed bail! We chilled in Kenz’s room then I drove us to Dunkin. I chilled a bit longer with Kenz and almost fell back asleep on her bed with her. I went home and showered and rested a bit. Drove all the way to Devo’s to try and see him, Dan, and Nick when he got into town, and nobody was there. I was pissed because everybody was being so dumb that day and it was raining and no one was driving right haha. So Mitch hippy dippy hmu and I asked if he was home. Got a piece of Franco’s pizza on the way and visited Mitch at his place on Englewood. I really did not like the vibe of that place. Went to the city to meet up with Shannon. Picked her, Chris and Jeremy up and we went to Edgefest. Saw the Sheepdogs, July Talk, Our Lady Peace, Coheed and Cambria, Modest Mouse and some of Rise Against. It rained almost the entire time. By Rise Against we were so cold, tired, and completely soaked. Chris and Shan went back to my car and Jeremy and I only made it for about 6 songs. I tried calling Chris to come get us but no response. Sure enough, we got back to my car and I could tell Shan was sucking him off hahaha. I was the only one with a change of clothes. Drove in just an oversized tee and dropped them off at Shans car in the city. I went to Zow’s to see Aaron. Mad people just destroying shit. I said goodbye to Aaron Gilbert since he was moving to FL for a bit :( Ryan AND HIS BRO PEYTON were there. I could tell when he was looking at me. I could tell he liked looking at me, but couldn’t tell if he was trying to impress me or if he knew I hooked up with his brother. I drove the three of us to Goodbar. We met up with Aaron who I met before. Others came too. Danno, Pat, Andy and some girls came. I totally hit it off with Peyton better. Aaron introduced me to his cuz as “talking to man bun”. I was playing darts with one friend Matt bc I was getting bored. Then DEVO appeared! I ran to him and Dan and Nick were there. I was playing pool with them. Ryan introduced himself. He came up to me shortly after I took shots with Devo and Dan saying he was leaving. He kissed me goodbye. I told him to kiss me again. Yo they were not good kisses! Ugh. The place was dying down. We hit up Vasilles. I got a gyro and fries. We got my sleeping bag and charger out of my car. I fell asleep on Dan’s lap. Picked up some people from south. Went to Devo’s old place. I passed out hardddd.
9/13- Woke up on Devo’s old place’s floor sooooo hungover at like 7:30. Thank god for my sleeping bag. Saw Ant while I was brushing my teeth! LOL Ub’s running back. Nick drove me back to the city so that I could grab my car by goodbar. I bribed him with Spot coffee. Got a matcha and bagel, nick got a coffee and sandwich. That set me late to work at Snow. I was shot and rushed to work. It was swamped. I had the last customers of the day. I left and ate my leftover greek on my way home. Chilled hard. Took a shower. Watched Bob’s Burgers with the fam and ate my heated up fries. Fell asleep on the couch with the dogs instead of going to Rochester to see Dan, Nicole, Nick and stay with Von.
9/14- Woke up late on the couch. Packed up and headed to Rochester for my store visits. Met up with Nick at West Edge for a fantastic early dinner, the only meal I had had since my egg on corn tortilla, and a goodbye. We split a chicken sandwich with avocado and bacon jam, rizotto balls, beer and flat bread pizza.Back to buff for my class. Printed some sheets at Ellicott. En route to class I heard my name. It was Sam Merlo! Caught up and went to class. Home and ate my leftover pizza from earlier.
I’ll have to finish up another time. Farewell and goodnight.
