UWCL semi-final:
Wolfsburg - Barcelona 1 - 0
⚽ Fridolina Rolfö (58′)
Barcelona dominated the game in possession, chances were created, but non were converted. Changes came a little to late for Barcelona, and they were unable to pull the game back.
Wolfsburg saw less of the ball, but proved to be more effective. In the 58′ minute the goal came from Rolfö. Engen's diagonal ball finds Huth in space on the right of the box, and her cross isn't cleared. An initial overhead attempt by Pajor goes back to Rolfö to lash in.
Barça had the better chances and played really well overall, but Wolfsburg made it count when it mattered.
Wolfsburg XI: Abt, Doorsoun, Hendrich, Janssen, Wedemeyer, Huth, Engen, Popp (Oberdorf 85), Rolfö (Wolter 68), Harder, Pajor (Bremer 77)
Barcelona XI: Panos, Torrejon, Leon, Pereira, Ouahabi (Martens 86), Hamraoui (Losada 86), Hansen, Hermoso, Alexia (Guijarro 77), Mariona, Oshoala (Bonmati 68).

That was that. I had low expectations of this match, due to not playing much, only a few friendly’s against “lower tier” teams.
Joe should have made those subs way earlier, preferably right after the break. I guess he forgot he has 10 players on the bench this time around?. Certainly isn’t all his fault, but he could have helped them a bit with making these changes earlier. That being said, Arsenal just underperformed as a team.
Loved seeing Maritz play, she played a good game. Can’t wait to see more of her. Good first half from Captain Kim, didn’t see the ball enough in the second half. Some promising play at times, at other times, the rusty-ness really showed. I hope Beatties injury isn’t that bad, Viki did a good job when she was subbed in. Would have liked to see Catley for McCabe earlier.
All in all, 2-1 isn’t that bad a result against PSG, since they are a good team. And after not playing a competitive game in 6 months.
The officiating was a bit questionable at times, on both sides.
I’m sure they will bounce back after this. They are a good team, just lacking playing time together and match rhythm.
Reflect and reset.
On to the next.
GG’s to PSG.
Just Viv being Viv.. I'm laughing so hard.. also DvD with the coaching 🤣👍🏻
