Today it hit me that you're really gone. I think I had been in denial until I arrived at your memorial tonight. Brian, in the time that I knew you, you changed my life. You lifted me up when I was down, and were always there to keep me motivated. You encouraged me to try and do things I didn't think were possible. You showed me how to be strong. Everything you did you did with love, hard work, and dedication. I will miss you dearly, but I know you're up in heaven watching over us all.

Today I got this tattoo in memory of Brian. This math symbol means much greater than. I thought it was appropriate because during the time I knew him Brian was a math teacher, and he was an extremely hardworking and determined man. It seemed like he was much greater than any problems that came his way. To me, this is going to be a reminder that we are much greater than our obstacles.
