Sooooooo I kind of decided who would be a harpy
This is a human fliff Greek and Roman mythology au (there are many drawings, but I would like to go to sleep and Inshallah. I will show the rest tomorrow when I finish with the coloring Inshallah.)
And this is all based of my knowledge that I gathered from tiny research that I’ve made
What I understood and found out harpies (I am open to more information)
-they are considered in the beginning to be very pretty and then people change them to be ugly, scary monsters, even though they were monsters in the beginning
-they were supposed to be pretty to lure people on land with their pretty face just like their cousins, the sirens, a.k.a. Mermaids.
-they can speak and they are known to be pretty harsh and mean
-They are intensely vulnerable to divine favor and wind-based powers
- they were sent by Zeus to punish mortals, so basically they’re not easy to kill
The reason why I chose Floyd is because he’s pretty, and I chose Riff to be mortal human….. because I want him to.
The story that I made in my head is that Zeus have sent harpies to a village, a Greek village, to punish the mortals by bothering them and stealing stuff from them and even go far up to killing them, because this village have had a a number of humans calling Zeus unjust and awfu
l (which according to what I heard about the Greek mythology concerning Zeus yes he is awful)
One of them was a guy named menon, an old man who owns a land for 30 years, he owns sheep dozen of them and he owns four cows, and he has a Shepherd his name is Riff , riff needed to make ends meet, so he took the job
buried three shepherds that were killed by harpies
Two shepherds quit the job
And one Shepherd simply disappeared
…. Making Riff Shepherd number nine that works. For menon .
 Why is all this things happening specifically to menon ?
-he no longer does work meant for people with more health and strength and enough patience
-he happens to be one of the few people that called Zeus unjust and he was young back then
So the reason why Zeus is sending harpies to him and some others to bother them to make them walk to the temple and beg for forgiveness and apologize.
The same village happens to have a festival that goes on every year. It’s considered a very big festival people prepare for it, harpies usually would roam around the area of the festival, just to even bother humans and mock them, and sometimes even steal the food on the table just to eat…. People aren’t bothered by them much until a plate goes missing or someone goes missing….. they would either ignore it or try to find this person of this person is imported enough.
Riff happened to be bothered by two harpies , he was in the field, not the festival, attending to the sheep and the cows, two harpies flew by to take the cow. They couldn’t take two so they just decided to fly carrying one from how heavy it was, riff run after them with a tiny knife, harpies we’re mocking him and making fun of him until they managed to drop the cow that they couldn’t eat… and just basically mocked him scaring him…. One of those harpies is Floyd , he was saying that he could fatten him up from how skinny he was, and he kept pulling riff hair, ….. until they flew away leaving the cow…… and from then Floyd just kept bothering him…. because he found him cute.
