Distracted Genius

Was looking for the gif of Lucille Bluth going "well that was a freebie" in regards to Lindsay Graham dying, but apparently it doesn't exist on the keyboard? Whack.

I think my hot take after seeing and listening to a little bit of the Hamilton tour a couple of weeks ago is that the show really fundamentally changes when Lin is not in the lead role, and not because it's so cool to see the write of the show star in it. Like there's just a different edge to it when a handsome classically trained singer is playing the role of Hamilton vs when it's this guy who is like clearly a genius but his voice is a little strange and he doesn't really look like someone typically standing shoulder to shoulder with the ensemble of the show. Like I hope this is reading correctly as not a dig at the incredible performances in that tour, but idk, I had never seen someone who wasn't Lin play the role and the show really do be different without his context.

Every time I'm listening to Jason Isbell live or whatever I'm always like yeah yeah yeah Cover Me Up and If We Were Vampires, whatever, I've heard em before. And then they are always level 5 crying events. Like Cover Me Up has been about for like a decade why am I still crying?
