My question might be unvolontarily intrusive so feel free to simply ignore it. Personnaly I'm a very recent RWBY fan, I started to watch the series only two years ago and it became one of my ultimate favorites. But knowing that your experience with RT and other people working on RWBY affected your life so deeply makes me feel uncomfortable toward my appreciation of the show. I'm not asking or expecting you to reveal anything, because it is your own story and it is your choice to do that or not and when. I just want to know how do you feel about people still watching and enjoying the show despite everything that happened ?

I like how thoughtful this question is, so it's taken me a bit to figure out the best way to answer.

I was lucky enough to have been inspired by Monty to pursue the arts, and to take away the possibility of other up-and-coming creatives to feel the same inspiration through his animation sat very wrong with me, regardless of how I felt.

Bitch, stop acting like you knew what Monty's plans for RWBY were. People like you and Shane are the reason this whole "Monty's vision" shit exists. Fuck you.

Monty very much so had a vision, I don’t know why you keep trying to discredit the creator like this. He would take Shane and I to a late night Thai spot way past work hours where we’d all equally discuss aspects of the show, and even things beyond that (such as leaving.)

The boys would talk about what scripts they needed to solve for Poser and Maya, sometimes ping-ponging ideas for fights and weapons back and forth while I ate chicken skewers with peanut sauce, focused on listening. Sometimes I’d chime in with relevant knowledge about a type of weapon, or a dance, or mythos that might serve to support their ideas, and the three of us would continue brainstorming from there. My ears didn’t stop working just because I wasn’t speaking.

The thing that has been a thorn in my side is people like you behaving like simply sharing my truth—the real events I experienced—is somehow an affront to you or anyone else. You’re just going to have to come to terms with the fact that what I have to say upsets whatever delusions you have, and that requires some reflective introspection for you to solve.

I hope that one day you can find peace from all this bullshit.

It can often be mistaken as passive disinterest, lack of input, a comment despite nothing spoken.

For those who only study things at a surface level, it’s easy to dismiss those who do not speak up. But if one were to listen with their eyes and understand that silence is as much of a decision as inaction, the depth of understanding becomes tumultuous.

To jump, or not to jump, both are decisions that move us forward. There are so many passive choices we make day by day that it’s easy to forget that, “nothing,” is still a gesture, albeit more lack thereof than otherwise.

It begins to paint a picture of the courageous on the move, and the fearful stuck in place. It feels unfair to call those who cannot bring themselves out of their comfort zones, “cowards,” for everyone has a right to move at their own paces. Regardless, I find myself unable to turn my gaze away from those who would be brave.

I have difficulty looking away from those who would act so earnestly, their fearless movements simultaneously so vulnerable. To put everything you have forward, to make the leap and stick the landing, is one of the most beautiful things I can think of that humans are capable of.

I know people like to assume, "Beach Episode," is synonymous with fanservice, lack of plot, and generally skippable filler content, which were exactly the sorts of preconceptions Monty wanted to challenge by going against the grain.

The introduction of Huangjin She (Gold Snake) and her rival, Hong She (Red Snake,) Pirate Queens who hailed from the same land as Lie Ren who were seeking to kidnap him. As usual Monty would make folders with a character's name, fill them with reference images and provide me with a list of priorities for design. I did not continue this work but perhaps the references can provide an idea for his vision with these scenes.

These like these linger and honestly, I still feel bitter on how betrayed I felt when it turned out it was just like Channel Awesome: another company that I was a devoted fan of that turned out to be a hostile workplace.

Sheena had little to nothing to do with the show, while M&K were part of the OG trio. There's also been absolutely no proof that she was supposed to inherit it, especially given it being a property of RT from the start. Also having Neath, Monty's own brother, working on the show still running contrary to this being a thing. So this whole thing is idiotic to latch onto, no different than the "they're not following Monty's wishes" bullshit.

A character that was voiced all of like 4-5 scenes in 4-5 episodes, that was then re-cast. Also don't call that monster/piece of shit by name, its too respectful; its a thing that has thankfully been driven into obscurity.

Shane is someone who put himself on a pedestal as Monty's #1 fan and one who knew Monty's vision; yet failed to realize that even Monty himself put M&K as the writers of the show. This including pulling back on things that narratively don't make a damn bit of sense, like Raven vs. JNPR. He was mentally unwell, is full of fucking shit, and not a damn thing says otherwise. I'll take Neath over his bullshit any day of the damn week.

Oh FUCK OFF this is fucking DISGUSTING. The only thing that differentiates the level of disgusting is if this is towards the corp or the people. The first is roll eyes at you disgusting, the latter is we'd have an altercation irl w/ me kicking dirt on your sorry ass afterwards disgusting. Especially given that CRWBY weren't the fucking ones involved in the RT shit.
