I don't know if Susie becoming better at healing than him would be the sole reason for it, but I do think that Ralsei may very well be the one this line is talking about. Between his struggles to please his friends and his own burgeoning selfish desires, I think something in his character might give and he'll wind up making a crucial mistake in chapter 5. The nod to fire magic in particular is telling, as no-one else has currently exhibited it, and Ralsei has been associated with fire since the beginning, with his prophecy mural.

Either leading to them lashing out and attacking Ralsei, or, which I think is more likely, having Susie and Kris helping Ralsei out in terms of his issues, and helping him figure out not only who he is as a person, but how to be a good friend, shed the past burden of knowledge he’s carried for so long, and come out the other side a person who learns to care for themselves again.
