11 PM, and there goes our captain saying “cabin crew prepare for landing”, and there we were in this futuristic tropical city, that is Singapore. Even from 10,000 feet above sea level, I was right on welcomed by these bright lights as seen through the aircraft window and from then on, I knew this was going to be a fun adventure. Of food, shopping and skyscrapers. Just practically what my eyes wanted to glue itself into.
Changi International Airport
Singapore’s very own Changi Aiport is a celebrity on its own. With significant social media buzz from its quirky Facebook contests to its seasoned appearance on news media giant’s like CNN, one can not argue the mentions it deserves. I mean there has to be some real good reason why it’s voted as the best international airport in the world, right?
It’s got three internationally acclaimed terminal which you can conveniently traverse using the free skytrain. Each equally unique on its own but it’s terminal 3 or T3 that will leave you speechless. (as seen from photo above).
Apparently, The Merlion isn’t the only emblem of Singapore no more. Though by the books it is, in the modern books that is Facebook and any social media platform there is, Marina Bay Sands hotel is brainwashing us into thinking it is the symbol of Singapore. Well, it’s hard not to notice this humongous three-building hotel. I think this symbolizes Singapore’s unending imagination.
If shopping is yo’ thang and you happen to have the legit credit card to feed that vice, The Shoppes Mall in Marina Bay is the place for you. It’s practically the millionaires/billionaires playground. It is also the best place to eat the finest dishes as I was able to spot some celebrity chef restaurants. In short, it’s one of those places too see, and to be seen.
