Been a while, Tumblr!

This year’s Secretariat Vox Populi award finalists / voting was announced today and I’m shocked this guy wasn’t in the named options.

The award is given to a horse that demonstrated racing excellence as well as a fan base / following.

Mighty Heart I believe checks off both those boxes. He won the first two legs of the Canadian triple crown, with one eye! His Queen’s Plate win was a longshot one, and he verified he could run with Canada’s best 3 year olds in his next two races by winning the Prince of Wales and running a valiant fourth in the Breeder’s Stakes (all three races are run on different surfaces too!

I think everyone should write in Might Heart on the voting site!
