Saucey Doodle Exchange

a lil project i animated a while ago, i thought the A Hat in Time community here might appreciate it.

My Ragdoll inspired redesign of Hoodude (or Randoll for this redesign as he’s no longer a voodoo doll) as I’d imagine him for G3! He’s a big, living Ragdoll alla Raggedy Ann and Andy.

Base: similar to Hoodude’s original design without his jacket, minus his pins. His hair is blue and teal yarn, instead of felt. He has a heart stitched on his chest reading ‘I ❤️ you’. His eyes are still miss-matched buttons, his nose is a red upside down triangle. His body is made out of cream, blue and teal muslin, hastily stitched together, each piece salvaged to fit a well meaning pattern. Randolls cheeks are always flushed, even if the fabric there was made with the same cream coloured muslin as the rest of his face.

Main outfit: a cuddly alternative to the cut and paste jackets most of the mansters wore in g1. Randoll sports a pink, patch work sweater, with a red heart he stitched himself on the chest. The cuffs and neck and bottom hem sport 2 light pink stripes across them. Randolls jeans are also patch worked, with one pant leg hemmed up and sporting a patch on the knee covering a hole, while the other leg is uncuffed but made of an off coloured fabric for most of the length. Frankie ran out of the original denim and had to cut up an old pair of jeans she owned to finish them,

Collectors outfit: a dapper outfit for a young doll trying to impress his date! Valentines inspired outfit perhaps paired with Scarah screams, or any lucky ghoul or manster Randoll might fancy, a black shirt with heart shaped buttons and cuff links, paired with a patch work pair of overalls. The overalls are missing a strap, but that only adds to the charm, as the remaining strap is held up but a heart shaped button. The knees are patched up with heart shaped fabric scraps. Randolls legs are clad in red and white stripped stockings, inspired by Raggedy Ann and Andy’s own stripped legs, as he sports black shoes similar to Andy’s. Tying the whole outfit together is his black boater hat adorned with a red bow, and a white and red feather in his cap!
