The sound of Jonathanâs voice surprised Atem, but he agreed with what the other was sayingâŚ.
Bonjour!: ancientruler: theangelbros: ancientruler: The sound of JonathanâsâŚ
He let out a small, still-silent breath of relief, lying fully back down again; this caused his muscles to relax entirely and he only felt a small pain in his wrist. He looked up at the ceiling in the silence, thinking back to the nightmare heâd had.
He remembered a bunch of shadows moving swiftly about himâthey had to just be people of course, that didnât worry him. He didnât think this was anything unnaturally-created.
But then why did he still have the feeling of hands around his neck? Even in the dream, itâd felt like they were really THERE. It sent another shiver down his spine and he straightened suddenly when just THINKING about it made the feeling return. He relaxed shortly after, but gently closed his eyes and put his good hand to his neck again. Once again, there was nothing; just the feeling of his own hand gingerly touching the bruising.
Victor gave Atem another small smile. "You'll be better soon, Sir. You've already been recovering really quickly."
Jonathan looked up from his book at the two, though landed his eyes on Atem as he spoke. "Good thing, too. Vic hasn't left for any reason other than to shower, change, and come right back here. Scarlet's been by herself at the house for a while now."
