The Twin Dragons: Baela & Rhaena Targaryen 🐉✨

I really wanted to draw them based strictly on their descriptions in Fire & Blood, because the contrast between their personalities is just so fascinating to me.

🔥 Baela is described as "lean, quick, and lived to ride." She was fierce, fearless, and had that untamed energy that completely mirrored her father, Daemon.

✨ Rhaena, on the other hand, was "slender, graceful, and loved to dance." Where Baela was the wild warrior, Rhaena kept a much more refined and elegant nature.

Can we talk about the show's decision to merge Rhaena’s arc with Nettles? Because honestly, I’m still not 100% convinced. And it's not even about the Daemon drama (though that would’ve been wild to watch unfold on screen!), it's just that I really love book Rhaena’s unapologetically "girly" and refined personality. 🩰

We don’t get many characters with that specific archetype in this universe—most women are forced to be hardened warriors or schemers—so having a high-born Targaryen who just loves high fashion, dancing, and being elegant added such a beautiful layer of diversity to the world.

It’s a minor change in the grand scheme of the adaptation, but I really wanted to honor her original essence in this piece. I hope you guys like my take on them! 💖

This single quote from the book has been looping in my mind non-stop. Jace deserved absolutely everything. He was carrying the entire weight of Team Black on his shoulders, trying so hard to be the perfect heir, and watching his story unfold just completely devastated me.

George R.R. Martin really wrote the most heartbreaking tragedy and the show just multiplied the pain. I’m going to be in denial about this for a very long time. 🕯️🐉

He lives rent-free in my mind, so it felt amazing to finally put pen to canvas for him again.

About a month or so ago, I played Dispatch and I absolutely fell in love with it. The game lived in my head rent-free until it gave me this specific idea: drawing Prism with a... prism! :D 💎

I’ll be honest, I struggled a lot at first with the refraction effects and the lighting—trying to get that "glass" feel was a journey! But I’m really happy with how it turned out and I hope you guys like it too.
