×The Achromatic Spy×

Achromatic would peep out from behind some rubble, staring at the BLU. He was horrendously un-sneaky, so it was pretty obvious he was there. Achrome then ducked back beneath a large, rusting chunk of scrap metal, his knees popping as he did so.

Achromatic clumsily attempted a roll, knocking over something glass. He immediately stood up, pursing his lips as he stared.

"Hello." Achromatic greeted, a little too far away to be heard properly.

Sergeant said, his deep voice slightly tinted with a German voice toughened from years of training recruits in his prime,

"So... hows the weather?"

Achromatic nodded quickly, suddenly looking a tad spooked. He cleared his throat, composing himself.

"I mean, it is pretty chilly, I see what you mean. Better than being cooked alive though, ammright?" Achromatic did finger-guns towards him, visibly sweating.

*Dear god, was he going to get crushed to death? This soldier..? Man! This man just crushed his LIT cigarette via his bare hands, and that is usually an indicator of anger, so oh boy. This was not good. Not like he was scared or anything though- He's not scared of some.. big dude who could... easily rip out his jugular veins...*

Sergeant than grabbed a spare inhaler from the shelf, he kept those for some reason... and fucking shoved it into Achromatic's mouth.

Achromatic winced slightly, his eyes crinkling. Awkward.

>"So... What's all in here?"

Achromatic shuffled over towards the shelf, a gentle, idle limp in his walk.

"What's the gun for?"

>"Very nice."

The achromatic spy was cloaked, loitering around the RED base. He exhaled smoke out of his lungs, his cloak shimmering in the harsh lighting. Achromatic squinted as he explored, making sure to stop every once in awhile to recharge his watch. He wasn't exactly an enemy to the REDS or the BLUS-- or any team for that matter, so he kinda just assumed he was fine to explore. What, private property shouldn't exist anywho! It's just land, so naturally, he had the want to explore.

Then, he felt his sickly, nearly translucent skin crawl. Someone (or something) was nearby. Achrome looked down at his watch. That thing didn't have much longer. Growling under his breath, he beat the thing. Damned thing was messing up at the one wrong time.

"Merde!-"

Personally, he was only panicking because of how hard it was to get the watch, totes not because of how much he was scared of death. Only talentless spies got scared. Was he even technically a spy? He was unemployed..

Quite steps could be heard in the distance, slowly growing more and more closer as the seconds passed. Impolite was unaware of the man in the same area as him, as he had taken a route where he figured that no other person would be around these parts.

Achrome pursed his lips, exhaling just a little too loud and shaky for his liking. He wasn't scared.

Swallowing his nerves, he silently watched the red-hatted stranger nearby, his cloak shimmering noticably in the old lights. He wasn't necessarily trained nor did he really know how to use any of his equipment, so he only knew the basics.

Achrome just stayed staring at Impolite, gaging whether or not he was a threat. His dark grey eyes were locked onto the cigarette, distracted by the smoke, so focused on trying to read body language to the point he couldn't read it.

Achrome's breathing was deep and uneven, shaky from the effort of (badly) attempting to stay quiet. His charcoal black gloves twitched audibly against his gun, inexperience clear in the way he held the thing.

Achome (if you could see him) visibly was sweating bullets, and the offputting smell of a hospital was evident. That odd, disinfected, almost pungent scent.

It was subtle, though a trained nose could easily detect it.

“You can stop acting like you’re being sneaky. I can hear you, you know.”

Impolite exhaled smog from his nose, turning over to the direct of Achrome. His expression was irritated, unfriendly. Mean.

He didn’t necessarily look like a threat, however. He carried no weapon, nothing that could be used to do any harm. It didn’t seem as if he was aggressive either, just. Peeved.

“Come out and show yourself already. You’re ruining the atmosphere with all your nervousness, you nitwit.”

Achromatic stiffened, getting distracted oncemore, lowering his guard.

*Definitely not an experienced spy..*

Achromatic then narrowed his eyes, decloaking. He was very.. grey. Very grey.

"Wasn't much of an atmosphere to begin with."

Achrome's brows stayed taught together, a soft shiver racking his gloved hands.

Slowly, he approached. His dress shoes clicked sharply on the concrete floor, all of his clothes laying oddly on his body. He looked as though he didn't know what size clothing he wore. He looked very skinny, despite the oddly proportioned body, his cheeks and eyes sunken in. A quiet dripping from a leaky pipe sounded nearby. As Achromatic stalked closer, the smell-- almost like a nursing home-- got slightly stronger. It wasn't enough to make one gag or get uncomfortable, simply just an ambient scent. A soft crinkle could be heard as he moved, though it was muffled.

"Why are you here, anywho?"

“Why I’m here is none of your business. The better question is why are YOU here? You look like you’re about to crumble under the weight of your own clothes. What are you? Sick?”

"My clothes fit perfectly fine, thank you very much. And no, I am not sick."

As soon as Achromatic looked away, his eyes immediately softened into something sunken-but-round. He huffed, smoothing his very obviously too-big clothes out, putting the gun away in his waistband.

With a sarcastic tone, Achromatic replied,

"And thanks, that's the look I was going for."

Impolite started to walk towards the man, keeping his eyes on him the entire time. He was sure that Achrome didn’t even know how to hold a gun for gods sake. Even if Impolite himself wasn’t a hired spy at least he knew more than the simple basics.

"I'm exploring."

He paused, before giving a glare at Achrome.

“Quit looking at me like that. You’re acting like I’m going to hurt you or something. I just might if you don’t stop it with that attitude.”

He would have blown smoke directly into Achrome’s face, but judging by his frailness he feared that it might just make him crumple up and die. So he decided against it. For now.

“If you wanna get a look at all the good stuff you gotta head on over to the more populated areas. Hey, how about you go over to the intelligence room? I’m sure they would certainly let you in there if you asked nicely!”

He didn't reply to the last little string of words Impolite snickered out, as he knew what sarcasm was. Noted, though. He would rather not be turned into swiss cheese.

>"Yeah, well.."

Achrome paused, now looking back at Impolite. His eyes occasionally glazed over in thought, not sure what to say.

He tapped ash onto the base floor.

“Maybe if you’re lucky you’ll be able to make your way over to the infirmary. I like heading over there and dumping everything The Medic has in those jars out. It’s funny to see him get all mad and panic about all his parts being all spilled out.”

“But maybe you’ll find something super interesting in those storage units! Maybe a box filled with raccoons or whatever the hell they keep in those things.”

“Just don’t get crushed by one of those boxes.”

>"Maybe you're the uninteresting one if you don't enjoy exploring places that aren't the epiphany of beauty or crawling with people." Achrome looked at one of the lights, trying to match Impolite's energy via tone, his lighter flicking repeatedly. The cigarette in his teeth lit.

>"Plus, usually they just keep weaponry or sometimes medical supplies in those boxes. Not much of interest, plus I'd get put in the 'shoot n stab' box and tortured to death if I touched one."

He spat, rolling his eyes before taking another inhale of his cigarette.

“Weaponry…well that’s something interesting. I think I might go and check that out. Maybe I can snag a few guns and some other things to keep.”

“I don’t use them, but it’s nice to just take things. Something about the thrill of it.”

Scratching his chin, Achromatic took a long inhale of the weed. Taking the stick out, he exhaled, tapping his watch. He seemed to be quite fidgety.

>"It's not worth it to go through the troubles of hiding or killing Engineer, as all the items are trash most of the time." He paused before continuing, eyes downcast slightly. Not sad, just staring at the floor.

“If the doors are locked I can always just pick lock them. I wanna get my hands on one of those sticky-bomb launchers.”

He grinned, before turning over to Achrome, who was currently just staring at the floor as he smoked his own stuff.

“So just shut up and follow my lead and this’ll go smoothly.”

He started to walk off, assumedly towards the direction of an armory that was nearby. Expecting Achrome to follow along, quietly. Impolite own footsteps were completely silent. Even if he wasn’t a hired spy he somehow still knew how to be stealthy. Once a spy always a spy I guess.

Soon they both ended up in a hallway with a few doors on both sides. The one at the end of it was where they needed to go though, it was the armory, and by the looks of it, it was secured with some sort of lock.

Impolite slipped forward and approached the door, lifting the lock up with one hand hand before rummaging in his pocket and pulling out a lock-pick. He slid the lock-pick into the lock, fumbling around with it for a few moments before a snap could be heard. It was unlocked.

He had never even seen half of these before! Oh, he couldn’t just take one thing now.

“Holy Shit!”

He whispered, Albeit a little loudly for comfort.

“I gotta check all of this stuff out. I mean, have you ever seen something like THIS before?”

He picked up a “Huo-long heater” gun, raising it up as if he was about to shoot it. Of course, he wasn’t actually going to, he wasn’t that stupid.

He shoves the gun into his back pocketwait how did he do that. That gun was bigger than he was. Ok whatever anyways! Impolite began to look through all the other various weapons and equipment that was scattered all around the room. Picking up one by one and examining them, occasionally slipping one or two into his pocket to save for later when they weren’t being sneaky. Maybe he’d invite Achrome over to test out the weapons with him.

He usually didn’t invite people, or didn’t even like people in general, but Achrome was quiet, and listened to him. So he wasn’t bad company.

“Hey. Check this out.”

Achromatic immediately ducked, covering his head, even though it wasn't too close to him. After a moment, he looked up, still squatting.

>"Don't do that?!"

“God! The way you ducked like I was gonna set you ablaze! You’re too easy to mess with, dude.”

He wiped a tear away from his eye, before he kicked the flamethrower to the side with his foot.

“I won’t do it again, though. It would suck if you had a heart attack or something before we got a chance to test all of this stuff out somewhere.”

“Speaking of which…why are you just standing there like a deer in headlights? Don’t you wanna take some stuff of your own?”

"I mean, I could, but I'm a tad scared of getting caught."

He paused momentarily, gaze flicking to the flamethrower.

"And being tortured to death."

“I’m almost hurt that you don’t trust me!”

Impolite placed a hand onto his heart in a dramatic fashion.

“Pfft. Come on. While I’m here those idiots won’t know what hit ‘em.“

He places his hands on Achrome’s Shoulders, leaning into him.

“At least check one thing out. Otherwise I did this all for nothing. You know how risky this kinda business is?”

> "I mean-.. I don't want it to be all for nothing."

He took a moment to look back towards the weaponry, leaning a little to the side to see past Impolite. Sighing, he replied,

>"I'll try atleast one thing, if you insist."

Impolite let out a small scoff before he decided to take things into his own hands, gently grabbing Achrome’s hands and making him latch onto a scatter gun, making him pick it up before he let go.

“There. That wasn’t so damn hard now was it?”

Achromatic awkwardly held the scattergun, both hands on the hilt. He was acting as though the scattergun was atleast 50lbs heavier than it actually was, his knees bent inwards.

>"I feel like I'm gonna pass out."

He groaned as he followed behind him, he wouldn’t want him to actually puke. More many reasons.

Slowly, he approached. His dress shoes clicked sharply on the concrete floor, all of his clothes laying oddly on his body. He looked as though he didn't know what size clothing he wore. He looked very skinny, despite the oddly proportioned body, his cheeks and eyes sunken in. A quiet dripping from a leaky pipe sounded nearby. As Achromatic stalked closer, the smell-- almost like a nursing home-- got slightly stronger. It wasn't enough to make one gag or get uncomfortable, simply just an ambient scent. A soft crinkle could be heard as he moved, though it was muffled.

"Why are you here, anywho?"

“Why I’m here is none of your business. The better question is why are YOU here? You look like you’re about to crumble under the weight of your own clothes. What are you? Sick?”

"My clothes fit perfectly fine, thank you very much. And no, I am not sick."

As soon as Achromatic looked away, his eyes immediately softened into something sunken-but-round. He huffed, smoothing his very obviously too-big clothes out, putting the gun away in his waistband.

Then, he felt his sickly, nearly translucent skin crawl. Someone (or something) was nearby. Achrome looked down at his watch. That thing didn't have much longer. Growling under his breath, he beat the thing. Damned thing was messing up at the one wrong time.

He didn't reply to the last little string of words Impolite snickered out, as he knew what sarcasm was. Noted, though. He would rather not be turned into swiss cheese.

>"Yeah, well.."

Achrome paused, now looking back at Impolite. His eyes occasionally glazed over in thought, not sure what to say.

He tapped ash onto the base floor.

“Maybe if you’re lucky you’ll be able to make your way over to the infirmary. I like heading over there and dumping everything The Medic has in those jars out. It’s funny to see him get all mad and panic about all his parts being all spilled out.”

“But maybe you’ll find something super interesting in those storage units! Maybe a box filled with raccoons or whatever the hell they keep in those things.”

“Just don’t get crushed by one of those boxes.”

>"Maybe you're the uninteresting one if you don't enjoy exploring places that aren't the epiphany of beauty or crawling with people." Achrome looked at one of the lights, trying to match Impolite's energy via tone, his lighter flicking repeatedly. The cigarette in his teeth lit.

>"Plus, usually they just keep weaponry or sometimes medical supplies in those boxes. Not much of interest, plus I'd get put in the 'shoot n stab' box and tortured to death if I touched one."

He spat, rolling his eyes before taking another inhale of his cigarette.

“Weaponry…well that’s something interesting. I think I might go and check that out. Maybe I can snag a few guns and some other things to keep.”

“I don’t use them, but it’s nice to just take things. Something about the thrill of it.”

Scratching his chin, Achromatic took a long inhale of the weed. Taking the stick out, he exhaled, tapping his watch. He seemed to be quite fidgety.

>"It's not worth it to go through the troubles of hiding or killing Engineer, as all the items are trash most of the time." He paused before continuing, eyes downcast slightly. Not sad, just staring at the floor.

“If the doors are locked I can always just pick lock them. I wanna get my hands on one of those sticky-bomb launchers.”

He grinned, before turning over to Achrome, who was currently just staring at the floor as he smoked his own stuff.

“So just shut up and follow my lead and this’ll go smoothly.”

He started to walk off, assumedly towards the direction of an armory that was nearby. Expecting Achrome to follow along, quietly. Impolite own footsteps were completely silent. Even if he wasn’t a hired spy he somehow still knew how to be stealthy. Once a spy always a spy I guess.

Soon they both ended up in a hallway with a few doors on both sides. The one at the end of it was where they needed to go though, it was the armory, and by the looks of it, it was secured with some sort of lock.

Impolite slipped forward and approached the door, lifting the lock up with one hand hand before rummaging in his pocket and pulling out a lock-pick. He slid the lock-pick into the lock, fumbling around with it for a few moments before a snap could be heard. It was unlocked.

He had never even seen half of these before! Oh, he couldn’t just take one thing now.

“Holy Shit!”

He whispered, Albeit a little loudly for comfort.

“I gotta check all of this stuff out. I mean, have you ever seen something like THIS before?”

He picked up a “Huo-long heater” gun, raising it up as if he was about to shoot it. Of course, he wasn’t actually going to, he wasn’t that stupid.

He shoves the gun into his back pocketwait how did he do that. That gun was bigger than he was. Ok whatever anyways! Impolite began to look through all the other various weapons and equipment that was scattered all around the room. Picking up one by one and examining them, occasionally slipping one or two into his pocket to save for later when they weren’t being sneaky. Maybe he’d invite Achrome over to test out the weapons with him.

He usually didn’t invite people, or didn’t even like people in general, but Achrome was quiet, and listened to him. So he wasn’t bad company.

“Hey. Check this out.”

Achromatic immediately ducked, covering his head, even though it wasn't too close to him. After a moment, he looked up, still squatting.
