What I want is to be needed. What I need is to be indispensable to somebody. Who I need is somebody that will eat up all my free time, my ego, my attention. Somebody addicted to me. A mutual addiction.

I’ve never been able to connect with anyone, the way I connected with her. From the moment we first met, I knew she was different. The way she spoke, her voice, the way the galaxies were present in her soft, brown eyes. I never believed in soul mates till I met her. I feel like for the first time in my life, the universe has worked in my favour. A gift from the heavens. And lord knows I’ll do whatever it takes to keep her

I could feel her slipping through the cracks. No, not in the way you think. She wasn’t making her way into my heart - she was already in it. She was trying to escape. Or at least that’s what I told myself, because it was easier to see myself as a prison no one should enter, than face the fact that no matter what I did, I couldn’t turn the inside of my chest into a place she’d want to call home.

I’m not afraid of the dark, I’m just afraid you’ll keep me in the dark.

We are not perfect, we are learning. That’s the beauty in our specific journey.
