Another great online teacher with a large amount of videos is none other than Mr. Bill. On his YouTube is like the holy grail of all things Ableton. There is a lot to learn, some of it confusing. Overall worth it if you’re serious about producing. I must admit to having learned from watching his videos, especially on ‘Fractal Effects‘, which at the time totally blew my mind.

House Template 4/22 | Ableton Live Set Download

Put together a simple House music template (download below) loaded with a few clips and sounds – made using Ableton Live 9 synthesizers & effects & samples. Use these as a starting point and feel free to totally destroy them (there are backed up copies :D).

Don't fret, if you have a Live 8 project with a Compressor in it lying around, throw it into Live 9 and the original compressor will be shown on your project instead of Live 9's updated version. From here, click on the Save Preset icon on top-right of the device, name it, and voila, you now have a preset of Live 8's Compressor complete with FF1/2 and FB models, Peak/Opto/RMS envelopes, and Dry/Wet control (not previously found in Live 8).
