sosososososossososososo i lwk want to make a cult au for tiodm (like the og but minus all the science) and the cult would worship the great elder one. It would go like this: basically (for mysterious circumstances i haven't figured out yet) Philip was able to join the cult, which he did because the letter that was sent to him said that it helped people cope over dead loved ones. Welllll a couple months later word spread out that weird stuff was going on in the cult, like many cult members were getting murdered for reasons unknown to the public. Howard, knowing a little about the cult because of the letters Philip sent until they started to stop for reasons unknown to Howard, decided to go to the island the cult was located (still Greatmaw) because his wife was in possible danger. btw im making this up as i write. also anchorstar is canon bc i say so. on his journey through the island, he meets Angelique, a loyal member of the cult, and saw many questionable things that made him glad he didn't get a letter. Since Angelique was completely brainwashed by all the lies taught to her by Father Morose, it took some convincing to eventually get Angelique onto Howard's side. ummmmmmmmm something something something yaaaay howard and philip get married happy ending. also after like a month after philip joined the cult, he became father morose's star pupil or something like that but cult related.
