I made this for my AP art portfolio so it’s a little different from my usual stuff (and took a lot longer to finish!)

Growing up, I knew I was female, but I was what many would call a tomboy. Not because I rejected femininity, but because performing gender was never an instinct I had.

Being a wolf clarified this for me. She-wolves don’t perform being female, they just are. That’s always been the case for me, too, and having the language for it makes me feel more comfortable in what has already been true.

Yearning for river time

For you, this may mean buying cat ears or cat ear headphones. It may mean amber contact lenses to mimic the eyes of a wolf, dyeing your hair black and wearing it shaggy and long. It may mean implants on your canines to get fangs. Tattoos. Piercings. Claw-shaped acrylic nails. I mean, who knows?

Start small and build up your weirdness.

Ex. I started wearing a thin choker, and over the course of many weeks I got thicker and thicker chokers/necklaces. And now I wear a dog collar with tags and literally no one cares.

"I should take a walk" No. Terrible, people will see me and it sounds extremely boring
