even in a couple of years, if max crashes gp will still instinctively open the radio channel and ask "are you okay?" because that's his driver. that's his boy. that's whom he saw fly into the wall at 51g and asked the same question from. that's who bypasses an answer sometimes and rants about the car instead, leaving gp to circle back to the initial question until he gets a proper answer. that's whom gp needs to gently remind that his well-being comes before the debrief. that's whom he saw pull countless insane moves and emerge victorious. that's whom he looked out for and made sure was okay to the point where he can't not do it.

and like sure the mclaren drivers will be confused by the question but that doesn't stop gp from asking because that's his driver and he will never stop looking out for him.

Genuinely we're so lucky everything ended without Max being seriously injured. It would have been so easy for one of Mercs to pin him to the wall while he was struggling to get out.

Charles asked twice about Max and they told him they didn't know yet if he was okay. Like he took a very very long time to get out of the car and struggled when he did. And to listen to the audio he was clearly shaken up if not in pain.

Now I know George wouldn't have known all this but it was like he didn't even care. I think if George didn't always portray himself as this better man who puts safety first I'd be more okay. I get he's had a rough season so far and I've been pretty pro George on this blog but it was genuinely so unacceptable what happened today. Someone could have been killed because of unsafe conditions and it's setting a terrible precedent.

People still want to scream about AD21 like Mercedes has and will always have the FIA in their back pocket.
