Shadowlancer is designed to reward small decks with efficient, high-cost cards. Rush is one-use (usually) and so incentivizes cards that are efficient in its use or gain it rapidly. Slumber heals a LOT, but you need to be able to block enough to gain that healing. She has lots of cards that cost a lot but give big block. Finally, smoke rewards careful play - if you block well, you don’t need to deal damage, but if you don’t, the consequences are heavy.
