Despite the way he treats friends, it is in no way indication of what it would be to be in a romantic relationship with Jaren. Certainly, he would be as kind and nurturing, but it would be highly contrasted by clinginess and overprotectiveness. Not just a angry glare at others in distrust; though, that definitely is there; but a return to his Reaper personality should you offend the girl he might be attached to. Results would run wildly up and down the scale from being cool with a person that irritates his partner to outright return to murder if he perceives it as a majour offense. One can imagine that can be a damper on one's life when people that even slightly irritate you keep a safe distance.. Or end up as a corpse on the news. It's not that he means harm; indeed, affectionate would be something he would gleefully enjoy in spite of his protesting otherwise to be left alone. But, the fear of loss of someone else yet again is that which colours his action most clearly. Sometimes, too much.
