i think they'd connect in a similar way to how they met in the pilot. two people who think they're above everyone else matching each other's energies, but with more banter and probably at some dingy dive bar. harvey is drawn to mike's natural-born intellect; mike is drawn to harvey's intrinsic charm. one thing leads to another and they hook up. just a one-night stand.

but, this is harvey and mike i'm talking about. nothing ever truly ends with them like that.

the worlds best worst fwb situationship ensues methinks. mike has never had anyone else keep up with his mind the way that harvey does, so he keeps on pushing and showing up. one more night, just cuz he's a little lonely and the sex is amazing.

one more night turns into another, and then a few more

it doesn't take long for everything to get messy

harvey would be so much more avoidant and a "sad loner" archetype. he would distance himself from (his own emotions) mike whenever shit got too serious. shutting himself off from mike and himself.

but, he'll still come back. missing the way mike ingests star trek knowledge. his body. his mind

he'll come back eventually. too loyal.

meanwhile, mike is also way too loyal, and a massive pusher. i think he would be the one to fall in love first, and it'd be kinda like how he is with trevor but with a smidge of an "i can fix him" complex. he would beg and beg, but harvey could never budge.

sometimes he would come to his senses and threaten to end...whatever the fuck was going on.

but, he's weak. and harvey is so soft. and he's so weak.

and again for emphasis, the sex is amazing.

just like, imagine mike and harvey smoking pot and shotgunning smoke together. mike in harvey's lap, in an area that barely classifies as an apartment with how tiny it is. at first, they were talking about their shared dream of becoming lawyers. vulnerability in only these moments came a bit easier. they don't know if it's the weed or each other.

then, it got heated. the two slowly grinding against each other as mike takes another puff. mike leans down, just enough that their lips barely graze one another, and blows the smoke into harvey's mouth. he watches the way the air curls around his features and the way harvey's eyes flutter as he breathes it in like it's a lifeline.

their eyes meet. mike focuses on that sparkle in harvey's brown eyes. logically, it's coming from the overhead lights, but in this moment it feels like a spark.

harvey looks into mike's blue eyes. his feelings are so obvious. always so easy to read. so easy to tease. so easy to be around. god, harvey hopes he isn't as obvious he is

in that moment? they'll never give each other up.
