i'm oliver/ollie, i use he/they pronouns, i am trans and autistic. huge project hail mary fan (obviously), i also like iron lung, rdr2, drawing, SFTH, history and a bunch of other things. disclaimer: i am not a super knowledgeable when it comes to advanced science, so please go easy on me lol. however i love science and am always trying to learn more about stuff in general.

Oh, yeah, I've watched some of his videos! I have a lot of spare time, I guess, and also all of the internet, so I was bound to get to it at some point.

I like his Stanley Parable playthrough, it's a really interesting game. And his Iron Lung video is pretty cool as well! That game scares me a bit. I feel bad for the main character, since I kind of understand what he's gone through in some ways.

Hello! The weather in the biodome is pretty nice, I can basically ask the Eridian scientists to make it whatever weather I prefer. Usually I just have clear skies or clouds, but now that they've figured out rain, I'm pretty excited to have that. Maybe we'll get to simulated thunderstorms eventually.

Yes! The Eridian scientists built me this big fake tree, which is really nice to have. Reminds me of home. Plus, they also designed that cool arch in the cliff over the ocean.

Well, in its most basic terms, thermochemistry is heat energy, and how reactions absorb or release energy in the form of heat.

My speciality is molecular biology, but I can explain some of this!

There are two main types: endothermic reactions (absorbing heat) and exothermic reactions (releasing heat). The root word 'endo' comes from the Greek for 'inside', which is 'endon'. So whenever you see that in science stuff, you can use that as a clue as to what the rest means! And 'exo' is kinda like 'expel', getting rid of. Or like your ex! Hah.

Bad joke. Okay. Moving on.

Basically, this is just a long way of saying that when you boil stuff or melt it, or some other phase change involving heat, the object you're affecting will either absorb heat or release it into the surrounding environment. Heat = thermal energy!
