Summary: You've got a raging burp kink and a partner who's willing to try anything twice. They record a soda chug for you, and wind up enjoying it more than they thought they would.
Contains: burping, liquid bloating, hiccups
Rating: sfw. (with some light horny undertones)
The video on your phone starts with a low, staticky rumble. You can't immediately identify the sound, but it's deep, and loud enough to clip the audio. The frame jostles around as somebody fumbles to get the camera into position. It eventually comes to rest on Drew, sitting at their desk. With the mic farther from the source, the sound stops clipping, resolving into a lengthy, rolling belch pouring from your partner's open mouth.
"—UUUuurrUUOorrrorrgghhp!"
Drew's eyes are angled down and away from the camera, brow furrowed in concentration as they coax out the enormous belch. Its volume peaks and dips repeatedly, dragging on for an absurd amount of time before ending with a low, gurgling growl.
"Oof!" Drew gasps, clearly winded. They give their chest a few pats, then let up a small after-burp that seems to catch them by surprise. They flinch, peering up at the camera with a sheepish expression. “Sorry! That came on too fast to hit record. I tried to hold it, but...well, you heard how that went."
They reach for a 2 liter of orange soda next to them. A small portion has already been drunk. Drew gives the contents a swish.
"Don't know why I tried drinking some before I started recording." They give their head a rueful shake. "Guess I'm just nervous. I know you wanted me to do this, but it's still kinda embarrass—AuUOorp"
They gasp at the unexpected burp, covering their mouth belatedly, “Excuse me—!" then pause, confused. "Uh, no. I guess I shouldn't say 'excuse me'?" They huff a laugh. "Let's try that again."
Drew tips back their soda, drinking for several long seconds. The vibrant, orange liquid disappears as they decant the bottle into their stomach, throat muscles bobbing on each swallow.
When they finally pull away, they're out of breath. "Ugh...It's so cold." With the hand not holding the bottle, they rub at their chest like they're hoping to warm it. On their next exhale they belch. Massive, urgent, and clearly involuntary.
"Oops!" A hand flies to their mouth, and Drew visibly swallows down another burp. "That was...wow." They scratch at the back of their neck, huffing a laugh. "That might have, uh, clipped the mic. Fuck if it didn't feel nice, though..."
They seem to momentarily forget they're recording, eyes fluttering back, and rubbing their belly in relief. The pause lasts for only a few seconds before their eyes alight on the camera, and they straighten in their seat. Drew blushes, seeming like they might say more, maybe even apologize again. Instead they shrug, and resume drinking.
You count the bobs of their throat. One, two, three, four, gulps before they need to stop for breath. "Fuuuck, that's bubbly."
An audible glug from their stomach announces those same bubbles attempting a reappearance. Drew swallows them down instinctively, then seems to realize their mistake. "Whoops. I keep suppressing it. It just feels so weird trying to burp as loud as I can...N-not bad though!" They reassure you, "Actually, it's kind of..."
Face turning an even more vibrant shade of red, Drew seems to think better of whatever they were going to say. "I'll try drinking more. Maybe that'll force one to come up. I'm hoping for another nice, long one like the burp that slipped out before I started recording." They palm their stomach. "Felt like I was deflating."
With a determined look in their eye, Drew brings the bottle to their lips, taking deep, rhythmic gulps. The motion of their throat is almost hypnotic as they force more and more of the soda into their already very full stomach. This time, they drain about a quarter of the bottle in one go before slamming it down on their desk with a pained gasp..
“God...hgn...My stomach hurts.”
Trying to draw up a burp, they straighten in their seat, tucking in their chin and taking a few careful breaths. A loud croak issues from their throat, and they open their mouth in anticipation, but nothing else wants to come up. They give their chest a few experimental thumps.
“I must have stage fright." They throw you a smile. "Usually this far into one of these, the challenge is not burping.” Drew goes to drink again, but can't bring themself to. They let out a sad little whimper instead. "Not that I'm ever going to want orange soda again after this. Urf—Why can't I burp?"
They knead their fists into their tummy, and you can see there's less give than usual. They're bloated taut with soda fizz. In their desperation, Drew's motions are clumsy, almost violent. Pushing up on the usually soft flesh like they're giving themself the Heimlich. It pays off.
"BluUUurrghhp!"
The belch tears out of Drew like a hurricane, complete with the wet sounds of the soda slopping around in their belly as their stomach muscles knead into the glut of air. They gasp at the end of it, palming their chest
"guuoh god—!" Only to be cut off by a series burps so urgent they seem to practically overlap on their way out

Bluurrrurp...rrrp
It takes about 30 seconds before the soda gas finally stops using their throat as a thoroughfare. Drew is left sagging forward, elbow braced on their desk. A whimpery moan falls from their lips. It’s reminiscent of sounds you've heard from them before, but only in a far more intimate context. Drew cuts it short the moment they notice it's happening.
Cheeks darkening, they dart their eyes to the camera. “God, this is embarrassing, heh. But I like knowing you like seeing, uh, this..." they gesture awkwardly to themself, the soda, the entire scene. "Me being like this.” Another little burp underscores their point, and they shudder at the relief.
Evidently feeling refreshed by finally venting some of the soda gas, that determined look returns to Drew's face. They flash a teasing grin. "That was impressive, but I think I can still top it."
A few preparatory deep breaths, and then the soda is back at their lips. Gas and liquid drain into their belly at an impressive rate, filling up any space left by the air they managed to burp up. They seem set on emptying the bottle. Drew's brow is screwed up in a pained look of concentration, and their hand hovers over their bubbly stomach, ready to provide comfort if needed.
Soon enough they're slowing, liquid backing up in their mouth, unable to swallow past the push of gas crawling up their esophagus. They’re forced to pull away, audibly swallowing back a huge burp.
"I'm trying to let the pressure—ulp—build up," they explain, sounding terribly uncomfortable. "Wanna finish the—rrp—b-bottle before I try to burp again."
They eye their drink apprehensively, then resume slugging it back. Drew only gets down one mouthful before they're pulling back with a filthy, wet belch.
"GwuUrmmpp—"
They slam their mouth shut, doing their best to cut it off. "N-not yet," they grunt. You wonder if they're talking to their stomach or you. They're so focused, they hardly even seem to be aware of the camera anymore.
The bottle is almost empty now. They drag in one more shaky inhale, then return to their task with an almost fatalistic resolve. But it's clear they're nearing their limit. At this point, one or two gulps is all Drew can manage without a break. It's slow going, but they're making progress. Gulp. Pause. Gulp. Pause.
On their next pause, they let their head loll forward with a pained moan. "Holy hell, I need to burp. I—" eyes flaring, they clamp their lips shut as a horrifying churn emanates from their stomach. They catch the would-be belch before it can explode up their gullet, looking equal parts relieved, and miserable about it. "M-maybe I won't—ulp—Talk anymore..."
Gulp. Pause. Gulp. Pause. Gulp. Pause. Again and again until, mercifully, the last fluorescent orange drop slides into their mouth, and they're sucking on air. Drew yanks the bottle from their lips with a suctioning pop, and tosses it to the floor. They gasp for air, clutching at their belly, and almost doubling over.
A low whine leaves their throat. “Oh god, I might have overdone it. I’m gonna burp so fucking hard. Fuck...”
Just then, there's a faint noise from somewhere beyond their bedroom door. Drew freezes in place, eyes blowing wide. "That's my roommate. I, um, I guess I should hold it?...Who am I even asking? You can't—mmmmmrrrhhhp!"
Fed up with them using their mouth as anything other than a pressure valve, their stomach co-opts the end of Drew's sentence for the silliest, longest closed-mouth burp you've ever heard. Their cheeks puff like a chipmunk's, filling up with gas faster than they're able to exhale it through their nostrils.
Desperate to contain the sound if not the air itself, Drew brings up a fist mid burp, trying to keep their lips from blowing open. The effort leaves them breathless and slightly red faced. They try to say something, but are immediately hit by another barely-contained burp. Then several more in such quick succession that you lose count.
When the fit finally subsides, Drew turns to look into their camera with wide, slightly impressed eyes. "Did you hear—hilc!—Oh hell..." Another hard hiccup jostles them, and you can hear their belly slosh. They clutch at it, groaning. "Hiccups always make me—hic-uRp!" They slam a fist to their mouth a second too late.
That was loud.
Immediately Drew's whole body goes bowstring tight. They turn to face their door, suppressing hiccups as best they can. The seconds drag on, both of you waiting to see if they've been caught.
There's a knock on the door.
Drew winces dramatically, but keeps their voice light as they call out, "Come in."
They turn towards the door, laying their phone camera-down on the desk, and obscuring your view. But the recording is still going, and you hear the voice of Drew's roommate.
"Hey! Do you know where the stain remover is?"
"Uh, yeah. In the—hlk—‘scuse me. In the closet. Top shelf by the—hic-AuUUuuoOrrrp!"
You also hear Drew explode into a massively gassy hiccup-belch that sounds like it might have caused them to explode if they'd successfully kept it in.
Drew's roommate yelps in shock.
"Hic—h-hiccups! Sorry, excuse me!" you don't need to see your partner to hear that they're mortified.
She assures them it's fine, but that doesn't stop Drew from stammering through a few more unnecessary explanations and apologies. Mercifully, she doesn't stay long. You hear the door close, and then Drew is picking their phone back up, face bright red, and one hand covering their eyes.
"God, that one reeked of soda," they moan. "And it was like, right at her. We were making eye contact...” But when they peek out from between their fingers, you're surprised by a slight twinkle in their eye "And you didn't even get to see. What a damn waste."
Drew pulls an energy drink from their drawer. "She's heading to the laundry room, so we get one last try." They pop the tab with a satisfying fizz. "This stuff always messes up my stomach. Maybe I can get one more good one for you." They wink.
That feels like a terrible idea. You can still hear some of the louder glorps and glugs from Drew's severely over-carbonated gut. More bubbles are the absolute last thing they need. Unfortunately, this is a recording, and you don't get a say.
Against all good sense, Drew tilts the can back and begins to drink. They down it quicker than you would have thought possible, and the moment they do, they double over, wrapping an arm around their middle.
“S-shit." You hear a deep, wet rumble from the depths of their soda-keg of a belly. Their eyes widen in panic. "Shouldn’t have done that...t-too much." Their eyes dart to their wall. "Oh god, my neighbors might hear this..."
A sound gurgles out of their stomach like a gutter emptying into a storm drain. Both hands clutch at their chest. "I can’t—hgn, it’s gonna come out. I—"
The burp that tears up Drew's gullet gives the auditory and visual impression that they're having a demon exorcised. It's deep and guttural and booming. They lurch forward from the force of it, their whole body tensed with the effort of expelling the gas, hands braced on the desk to ground themself. It drags out of them in bubbly layers of sound, deepening, growing gurglier, airier, wetter, hitting different tones. All they can do is surrender to their body as it desperately works to throat out a burp too big for their mouth.
It comes to a sudden close, loud, jarring, and followed by an encore of sharp, desperate after-burps. Short bursts of stomach gas that punch out of Drew, rocking their body forward with each one.
Finally, after what feels like minutes, Drew’s body settles, and they sag back in their chair. One last hard BruUP trails into a filthy sounding moan, and they rub languidly at their belly. “Fuuuuck, that was good," they pant. "I really—urp—needed that. Feels like I just burped half my weight in soda bubbles—"
Once again seeming to remember the camera too late, a deep blush blooms on their cheeks. They're too spent to correct their lewd posture this time, though. They offer you a sheepish grin, scratching at the back of their neck. “Hell, I know you’ll like this but I’m…I’m not gonna want to send it to you. That was kind of a lot..." They laugh weakly, grabbing the phone to end the recording.
"You better say nice things. I want rave reviews.”
You see your partner doing dishes, and go to hug them from behind. You nuzzle into their neck, drawing a contented hum out of them as they relax against you. Encouraged, you snake your arms around their waist, pulling them closer.
"Oh, wait, hold on," they grunt, trying to loosen your hold. "Don't squeeze. You're gonna make me burp."
Face buried in their neck, you smirk to yourself and tighten your grip.
Surprised, they inhale sharply. You feel a low growl pass through their belly, feel it rumble up their throat, feel it push into their mouth right before they crane their neck to direct a rumbling BwuUOorp away from you. You also feel the contented burble that rolls through their stomach after, like a sigh of relief.
"I warned you," their tone is teasing, but you can tell they're blushing. "Hope you're proud of yourself."
I love that thing where someone stops moving to focus on getting up a burp. Pausing mid-step, cutting off a sentence, dropping everything to concentrate on burping up that stuck air that's been making them miserable. Seeing the relief written all over their body once it's out. Watching them come back online after:
Found your blog and wanted to say obsessed with your vampire stories! I can’t write for shjt but obsess over the idea of a vampire desperate to feed on someone they know that is human but know they can’t and they’re hungry and wanting to indulge and when they do it’s so wrong and so right at the same time. Miserable bloated vampires for the win
i like my vampires as miserable and bloated as possible lol. Thank you!!

You're studying in your dorm room, and they're asleep, sprawled out on your bed, legs across your lap. As you're admiring the peaceful set of their face, a roiling groan swirls through their middle. It doesn't sound comfortable, and isn't based on the way their eyebrows knit together in their sleep. Another chain of dense gurgles has them squirming, and now you're concerned.
You try to go back to studying, but the tumultuous whines and glugs are only getting more persistent. They whimper softly, then flop onto their side. The movement frees a wet blurp from their guts, followed by an avalanche of bubbles that you can hear traveling up their throat. You worry they're about to be sick.
Instead they burp. Once. Twice. Three times. Each one big and airy, rumbling in their chest before passing cleanly out their slack throat. They finish with a relieved sigh, lips quirking up into a smile.
You blink, then break into a grin a moment later. You can't resist giving their belly a little pat on their behalf. It responds with a gaseous rumble that races up their throat, exploding into an impressively loud belch. Too loud apparently. They wake with a start before they even finish burping. The sound changes in pitch as they jerk upright, finishing soft and bubbly.
Blinking sleep from their eyes, they bringing up their hand to cover a small after burp. They turn to you, brows knitting together as they try to piece together what happened.
You suppress a giggle. "Have a nice nap?"
"I—yeah." They shake their head, still disoriented. "Did you burp?"
letting up a burp so excessively loud and obnoxiously gross that you're genuinely surprised at yourself. Going through that moment of Did that come out of me? I don't make sounds like that, before accepting that, yes, actually, you just did
Scenarios based on dialogue because I'm here to talk about burping:
- They grimaced, letting out a pitiful little whimper. When they spoke again their voice was tight, audibly straining around gas. “I’m not gonna burp,” they assured you unconvincingly.
-They doubled over, stifling their laughter with a bubbly choking sound. “Don’t make me laugh! I'll burp!” They knew any other sounds coming out of their mouth threatened to open the floodgates.
-They paused mid sentence, ducking their head with a distinctive swallow. “Sorry. Burp.” They explained.
-“Do you mind if I burp?” The ominous gurgle that bubbled in their throat told you they didn't really have a say in the matter.
-Another aerated growl passed through their stomach, drawing both of your attention. They muttered an apology, placing a hand to their middle. You did your best to suppress a smirk. “Do you...need to burp?” You didn't know a human face could go that red.
-A: “Why do you sound like that?"
B: *voice low and constricted* "I'm trying not to burp.”
-Instead of answering you, they held up a finger for you to wait. The stubborn pocket of air had been sitting in their chest for an eternity. If they broke their concentration now they worried it would settle back in their stomach to torment them for who knew how long."Can't talk. Need to burp."

your partner muffling their burps with your (VERY willing) mouth through a kiss. everyone around thinks it’s a romantic gesture while in reality you’re feeling their air hit the back of your throat as they desperately try to relieve their stomachache while not causing a disturbance.
your initial offer to let them do this was mortifying, but it’s either this, suffering in silence for the rest of the movie, or humiliating themself by burping into a packed movie theater. so they agree, albeit shamefully for needing this from you.
(sorry if this is weird)
you objectively wrote the hell out of this. I’m not personally much of a burp kiss person, but this deserves to be seen by the many people who are.
(Please. It would be a real challenge to be weird here!!)
You don't notice how quickly you've finished your soda until you hit bottom, straw pulling up air. You're at the movies, so preoccupied with worrying whether or not your date is enjoying themself, that you absentmindedly sucked down your drink in record time. As though it was waiting for you to realize your mistake, your stomach gives an ominous, gaseous whine. You desperately need to burp.
Normally you're good at subtly letting up a burp. If you'd paced yourself, you could have been breathing out quiet little bursts of soda fizz under your breath this whole time. Stifling soft sounds in your throat, and exhaling bubbly gas politely out your nostrils. But it's too late for that. Now your stomach is so pressurized that you don't trust yourself to control whatever it might send up. You resolve to hold in the carbonation, and try to focus on the movie.
It hurts. Your stomach starts producing loud groans, which you attempt pathetically to disguise by shifting in your seat. The fidgeting is starting to draw your date's attention. They look over, and you offer what you hope is a reassuring smile. It feels closer to a pained grimace.
You consider excusing yourself to the bathroom to sort out your bad decisions. But, before you can, the action on screen explodes and the soundtrack swells. Startled, you gasp out a burp without meaning to.
Your heart stops. Did anyone hear that? Your burp wasn't quiet, but the movie was far louder. You dart your eyes towards your date and find their attention still glued to the screen. You breathe out a sigh of relief.
This could actually work. You wait for another action scene, then burp under cover of the soundtrack. More confident now, you chance a low, urgent—huurrp. Mercifully, it works again. And again. And again.
hruurp
boorr...urp
hoauurp
The pressure grows more manageable with each release of bubbly gas. It's starting to seem like you might successfully burp away your bellyache without alerting your date or anyone else in the theater. Then the soundtrack hits a lull.
That's fine. You know the volume will pick back up. Still feeling in control, you swallow back a belch, determined to wait.
But the quiet is stretching on. You can feel air trying to creep up your throat again, but force yourself to gulp it back. To contain any humiliating noises your stomach tries to send up. Your uncomfortable squirming must be more noticeable than you'd hoped because your date looks at you again concerned. They lean over.
"You okay?"
They're so close. Close enough you can feel their warmth radiating onto your skin...Close enough they can probably hear the soda bubbles fizzing inside you. You wince at the thought.
Wanting to reassure them you're alright, you go to whisper back. But, as you do, an audible gurgle breaks from your gut. Panic seizing you, you try to pull back, but it's too late. All the air you've been holding in rushes out of you in an abrupt belch, devastatingly loud in the silent theater.
bwwooOOuUurrp!
It's just as satisfying as it is humiliating, which is to say immensely. The physical relief is a poor trade for the sting of embarrassment. People are starring. Your date is starring. They're gaping at you open mouthed, and clutching at their ear, as the echoes of your harsh belch ring out.
To add insult to injury, another action sequence starts on screen. The soundtrack swells again. Much too late to save you.
I love sitting next to you while you audibly try to suppress a burp. The kind of burp I can hear building in you long before you get a say in whether or not to let it up. I love pretending not to notice as you shift in your seat, hoping to quiet your body down. Knowing that you're trying (but failing) to spare me from the gross sounds of your digestion. Even if you never actually allow yourself to burp, you can't disguise the little wet blorps and glugs of a stomach being tasked with containing air that wants out. I love watching you try not to react as your belly gurgles like boiling water, freeing a stream of air that burbles up your chest. Listening as you flaccidly gulp it back down, and knowing you just narrowly avoided letting out a violent belch. A belch you probably really needed.
i wonder how common it is to have this fetish but also have GI problems or GERD or, god forbid, be unable to burp
i think like really common actually! I've had a handful of asks about this, and unless they're all from one guy pretending to be a bunch of guys, i'm taking them as indicative of a trend lol

massive fan of all your stuff! the little fics you write, the scenarios, the thoughtdumps, it's all stellar. always look forward to seeing your name when i #eructo my search history.
think you've got anything for characters that look one way but act another? think a giant that gets really embarrassed about the volume of their belches or someone who's normally really quiet trying to drag their burps on as long as they can. contradictory stuff like that just hits~ ♡
keep doing what you're doing - you're so good at it!
~ @burpnadette 🫧
oh my gosh that is so incredibly sweet!! Thank you!
I'm with you on the contrast thing. Big fan of giants with cute manners, over here. I also like when characters:
-are cute and sweet, but have the grossest burps. They've got a bellyache, and you're cradling their head in your lap while they moan about how full they are. After a particularly pitiful whimper, they jolt upright, clutching their stomach. You briefly worry they might be sick. Instead, they lurch forward with a massive, guttural belch that sounds like water bottoming out in a garbage disposal. Once it gurgles to a close, they give a little squeak of surprise, looking at you like they didn't know they could make that sound either
-are serious, bordering on stern, but have no shame about burping. You're attending office hours with your relentlessly composed TA, on whom you have a desperate crush. They welcome you with their usual cordial smile, only to have it suddenly falter into a grimace. They gesture for you to wait a moment, then turn to the side before gurgling out a long, pressurized belch. You're stunned silent, but they're business as usual. "Sorry. Couldn't do that during lecture. How can I—brrp—help you?" They burp throughout the rest of the meeting, and you just have to sit there and take it
-are big and tough, but their burps are comically dainty. They never burp in front of anyone if they an help it. Not because they're worried about being rude or gross, but because their burps sound like a kitten with hiccups. Whenever they slip up in front of their friends they get teased mercilessly "Was that you?" "that's how you burp? That was so cute!" Doesn't help anything that they blush easy too
-burp way louder than they speak. They're painfully shy and soft spoken. The type of person who wants to go completely unnoticed at all times. But they've been cursed with the most vocal stomach. Noisy groans and growls when they're sick, when they're hungry, when they're full. It's mortifying. And those are just the sounds they manage to keep inside. If they ever fail to stifle a burp, there's an actual risk of them setting off car alarms
-are "the mature one" in the group, but are secretly great at burping. They're so polished and well-mannered. No one would ever guess they can belch like a frat boy at the drop of a hat. One day, their friends decide to have a burping contest. They sit it out, finding the whole thing gross and childish. They watch, but the contest is dragging on with no clear winner. Finally, they decide the quickest way to end it is to finish it themself. They step up, gulp down all the air they can hold, then expertly push up a roaring, picture-perfect belch. In its wake, their friends can only gape at them. Suddenly self-conscious, they clear their throat "Don't...don't tell anyone I did that"
