It may seem obvious, sure, I was just under what I presume to be an attack from a negative entity. I’m not sure what prompted it, but goes to show that no one is exempt from these kinds of beings I guess. I felt TREMENDOUSLY nihilistic and depressed, as well as low self-worth in the blink of an eye, with nothing prompting such attitudes. Also my microwave decided to go on the fritz, flickering on and off, and beeping. I checked the plug and the wiring, so nothing was wrong with the microwave, and the circuit it was on was fine too, as everything else on it was running smoothly.   So today, I remind people that you DO have the power to overcome these entities– your guides, angels, and those who watch over your well being will not fight for you, but with you. If you suspect you’re under attack, or enacting a spiritual practice or habit, put a thick “shield of light” around you. visualize it keeping all your light in, and all the dark out. Remember that you are okay. That nothing can hurt you unless you let it. That you’re being actively protected by your guides and guardians, and that they love you. That will heighten your vibrations so that negativity can’t touch it with “what if”, or “but”s.   I know that smoke cleansing has been known to help (sage and/or rosemary), as well as salt, blessed or charged water in a spray bottle (Hey, I’ve seen and done it before, does wonders), seashells, eggshells, and anything that helps support the mentality that you’re of light and you can’t be harmed by whatever is with you. I did what I needed to do, and the negativity seemed to taper off. The Microwave finally stabled as I did that. Then I felt like me again. and whenever you know for sure the negative energy is gone, be sure to thank your guardian angels and/or guides! They drove out the energy as much as you did. And take the credit that you owe yourself! You did avert a disaster, after all :) That’s All I wanted to say– protecting yourself can be as simple or complex as you want it to be! Just make sure you do it when you are doing any distinctly spiritual practice, or suspect you have a negative entity present.

I need you to understand that not everyone in this community is going to have your best interests at heart. Whether they’re doing this for shits and giggles, to try to sell you something, or because they’ve got their own issues going on, other witches can lie. There are a LOT of big egos in the community. By lying, they can feed their ego.

(Please note that this doesn’t mean “disregard when people tell you something is appropriation or to be cautious with a certain herb or mineral because it can be toxic”, I mean weird vague shit like “magic is fizzling out” or “spells will backfire during the eclipse,” okay?)

When someone tells you something Big and Scary, please do not believe them blindly. Talk to a witch you trust, do divinations, look for sources or explanations. Not everything is an omen of doom, and not everyone speaks the truth.

Here are a few suggestions for some ritual work that is under 5 minutes. Simple and quick!

Visualize your keys unlocking opportunities anytime you use them.

Use some herbal smoke, an incense, or diffuser to cleanse your home.

Turn your shower/bath into a cleansing opportunity to wash away all the negativities. Visualize the water as golden rain removing the bad.

Bless your morning coffee/tea with good vibes to be productive and creative for the day.

Close your eyes and take 7 deep breaths. One for every Chakra. Imagine each Chakra becoming aligned with each breath.

Hagstone Fertility Spell

 You’ll need:

A green candle

A hagstone

A piece of leather cord

In many cultures, a hagstone – a stone that has a naturally occurring hole all the way through – is used for fertility magic. Depending on what sort of fertility you wish to bring into your life, consider using a hagstone for spellwork. You may want to boost your financial Abundance, add blessings to your garden, or increase the size of your family*.

Light the candle, and hold the hagstone between your hands. Concentrate on it, thinking about the sort of fertility and abundance you wish to see growing in your life. Say, “Fertility magic in this Stone, fertility magic of my own, fertility growing and surrounding me, as I will, so it shall be.” Thread the stone on the leather cord, tie a knot, and wear it as a necklace until your fertility goals have been realized.
