Xavier is quiet and reserved, the voice of reason with his two louder best friends (Galax and Victoria). He is also very anxious, and doubts his abilities, even though he is very skilled at battles, having the highest rank of the team at A+. He also TOTALLY doesn't have a massive celebrity crush on the S4 (he does.)

Backstory:

In the Octarian Army, Xavier was a prodigy, being promoted to Elite at the age of 14. However, he deeply felt like he didn't deserve this and was a fraud, so he ran away.

He met Victoria in Inkopolis Square, and they became friends quickly. She let him move in with her dads and helped him become comfortable with his trans identity (he wasn't out in the domes.)

When taking a train to Splatsville, he and Victoria met Galax. The trio bonded quickly and became a team.

This girl, despite denying it, is very cringefail. But she is also cheerful, energetic, and kind to all of her friends. And an impulsive dumbass. She's also a disaster lesbian who melts in the presence of any pretty girl. Loser.

Backstory:

When she was a baby, Victoria’s parents put her up for adoption. Her father was an Inkling (and Rider’s father, who left his mother) and her mother was an Inktoling. Victoria was adopted by two married men and grew up happily with them, finding out she was trans around the age of 14.

She met Xavier when she moved from Inkopolis Plaza to Inkopolis Square, who was then a timid runaway Octarian soldier. She took him to her house and helped him become secure in his own trans identity.

Later, Victoria and Xavier decided to move out of Victoria’s dads’ house and go to Splatsville. At the train station, they met Galax, and the three have been practically inseparable ever since.

Due to genetic complications with her Octoling blood, Victoria has chronic pain in one of her legs. She uses a cane on some days when the pain is bad, and sometimes can’t do Turf because of this. Her ears are also rounder than a typical Inkling’s, which she is insecure about, which is why she always wears headphones.

As a child, due to her genetic problems, Victoria was constantly in hospitals getting tests and whatnot. Due to this, she has developed a slight fear of hospitals and medical environments.
