Okay so the thing is:

I had a fun little idea to add on to the last chapter, but I wasn't sure if I even wanted to bother with it, so I did that Tumblr poll. The people said yes and I wrote the thing.

It turned out to be a whole big thing. Four pages in I realized I should not have started it, but it already had its clutches in my brain.

Then a Chpt. 19 commenter joked that Shuake were gonna have kids in the next chapter and I was like, "lol, no...although." You see, it actually works GREAT with the brainworm and sets up something really funny.

Chapter 19: Another Season, Another Reason for Making Whoopee

Akechi tells us the pancake appreciation was a ploy. He tells us he only eats trendy foods to impress people. The fanbook says he has no specific food preferences. But the manga shows him getting pancakes a few times and posting about sweets on his blog. "Trendy" doesn't mean sweet, Akechi. Admit it! You like sweets, you're just afraid Joker will think you're childish.
