“I suppose the cold weather’s kept me preserved.” Kuai responded with a good-natured laugh. “I exercise daily and stick to a very balanced diet, so that is likely why.”

“Extreme weather conditions and diets are only half of the magic, dear. I’m told it’s also the attitude. ”

“Attitude. Well, I can’t quite explain that aspect then.” Kuai said in response, a small but playful smile appearing. “People tell me I tend to have a ‘cold’ personality.”

“Ding ding ding, we have ourselves a winner!” Kano exclaimed with a mix of sarcasm and amusement. “That’s why I’m here. I need someone t’ vouch for me. And it’ll be in you’re best interest anyway, Flowerboy. ‘Specially now, since it looks like ol’ Raiden’s gonna need all the help he can get.” Kano added with a hint of satisfaction in his voice.

Antir crossed his arms, “I’m not opposed to a new ally, especially if Raiden has you on a short leash.  But what’s in it for me?”  Something he’d picked up from the years of Kano taking advantage of him as a servant was how to get a deal, “And no, a Tamogatchi isn’t going to cut it this time.  I want something with a bit more ‘ompf’.”

“A short leash? Me and Thunderboy ain’t that close.” Kano chuckled at his attempt at smart-assery. “Didn’t know you were into that kinda stuff, love. I’ll have t’ make a mental note of that.”

“You do not look like a creature of the Netherrealm…but you do not look like the people who come from any realms I know.” Hanzo’s eyes narrowed, though less out of an attempt to intimidate the other and moreso to observe them. “Who are you?”

AJ looked at the other before him, taking in his appearance knowing that he must’ve been a ninja of some sorts “I’m Alex Junior Garcia/Hamato. AJ for Short. And you would be….?”

Hanzo didn’t reply at first, simply crossed his arms and hummed thoughtfully as he continued to look over the other.

The mention of the word ‘family’ brought a brief look of sorrow on the Shirai Ryu Grandmaster’s face, but he swiftly shook the thought off.

The sudden arrival of the actor did not catch Raymond off-guard, already used to the…spontaneous way Johnny like to make an entrance.

Shooting finger guns and clicking his tongue in affirmation, the actor waited outside while the young man went to speak with Kuai Liang.

Moments later, Raymond returned wearing more casual clothing: a blue and black hooded jacket and black pants with sandals. His long hair was tied up into a ponytail.

Johnny spent a moment checking Ray out.

“Well, well, well. Didn’t know a place like this had a pretty face like yours around.” Erron said as he stepped up to the other, tipping his hat up a bit with a dry chuckle.

The medic turned to the voice, nodded as he still adjusted his lab coat. “I’m unaware of any other Markus Ziegler around, so, yeah, you got the right guy. I’m afraid I have not yet seen your medical history or else I would be prepared to set up a new patient’s file…”

Kuai laughs softly. “I am certain we will. I have heard good things spoken of you from the others here. They tell me you are very capable, and should I be injured I will be in good hands.”

China? That’s really a long way from here. Markus hummed quietly and reached for a tablet device.

How polite. It was hard to come by an actual cooperative patient in these parts…

“Very well, I will answer as best as I can.” Kuai responded as he listened for the first questions.
