“Well me and my partners just bought a house, so that’s exciting! All moved in now, and one of my partners is putting together a chicken coup, so I’m looking forward to farm fresh eggs!”

There was a… thing… that happened at the job site the other day. Everything’s fine, but I think we made an enemy.

Some lady, kinda tall, sharp teeth, hollow eyes, loud and yappy, confronted me about the project being so close to Cannibal Town. Things got ugly. A fight broke out, but everyone there worked together to get her to leave.

“A fight broke out you said? Is everyone okay? Does anyone need medical aid? If they got hurt working with you, the embassy will cover any healthcare costs they’ve already been billed and we will send in a medical team immediately to be sure they’re properly taken care of.”

*She wrung her hands in front of her. The people helping build this getting hurt? Possibly from an overlord? Maybe she should send some sort of defense… but would that be seen as an act of aggression after the exterminations? She needed more information before she could make a decision. Maybe staying in heaven while Obie ran things wasn’t viable, not if people were getting hurt.*

Next to the entrance was her desk, but off to the side was a setup with a couple of different seating options; two recliners and a loveseat all sat around a coffee table with sensory toys in a basket. She takes a seat in a soft recliner, a clipboard in her arms as she folds two legs over the other two with a smile.

Well, I care a lot about people. I want to help those who need it. I think the most vulnerable and the most disadvantaged folks are the ones who need the most compassion and understanding.

I’m pretty good at organizing things, making things happen. I guess you could argue that I’m a good leader, or at least a good sidekick. I’ve been told that I give good hugs, that I’m… comfortable, whatever that means.

Weaknesses, hmm. When I was alive, I’m not even sure where my problems stemmed from. Maybe I was bad at budgeting my time and that set me up for failure? Maybe I was too proud to admit that the helper needed help. Now, I’d say my biggest weakness is just my inability to… protect what I care about. -🐻

*Rosie’s words echo in his head as he walks down the hall, just as they have been for days now. He tries to bury the negativity for now and focus on the meeting a hand, looking through his progress notes on the project quick before he turns into the room.*

*Emily quickly puts her phone in her pocket as the sinner enters the room, an excited smile on her face.*

“How have you been? Gosh, it feels like it’s been so long!”

“Well me and my partners just bought a house, so that’s exciting! All moved in now, and one of my partners is putting together a chicken coup, so I’m looking forward to farm fresh eggs!”

*In the moment of silence after, she really looked at Obie and realized that something was off. He seemed down and a little out of sorts.*

*His ears twitch at her question. Seems she hadn’t heard what happened after all. Or maybe she had, and this was some sort of test to see if he’ll be honest with her? Or is he just paranoid? IS HE??*

There was a… thing… that happened at the job site the other day. Everything’s fine, but I think we made an enemy.

Some lady, kinda tall, sharp teeth, hollow eyes, loud and yappy, confronted me about the project being so close to Cannibal Town. Things got ugly. A fight broke out, but everyone there worked together to get her to leave.

“A fight broke out you said? Is everyone okay? Does anyone need medical aid? If they got hurt working with you, the embassy will cover any healthcare costs they’ve already been billed and we will send in a medical team immediately to be sure they’re properly taken care of.”

*She wrung her hands in front of her. The people helping build this getting hurt? Possibly from an overlord? Maybe she should send some sort of defense… but would that be seen as an act of aggression after the exterminations? She needed more information before she could make a decision. Maybe staying in heaven while Obie ran things wasn’t viable, not if people were getting hurt.*

—all that bad. My, er, companion, came away with some scrapes and bruises, but I saw her yesterday and she’s doing alright.

“Well, still… That must have been traumatic all the same. I’ll have some medical supplies sent in with the next shipment, be sure to pass it along to anyone who wants or needs it free of charge.”

*She notices the flush in his cheeks, the way he looks somewhere between disgusted and ashamed. He’s not handling this as well as he’s saying. She takes out her phone and shoots off a text to Molly*

“Listen, I appreciate all the work you’re putting in, but I believe that we should take a pause on this for today. If there’s something important that we need to discuss about this project, we can schedule another meeting but I’d like you to talk to a counselor. She’s got a background in therapy and anything you say stays between you and her. Not even I have access to her files.”

*He follows her directions and enters the new room. There is someone there already, their face behind a Manila envelope.*

“Hi! Yes, I’m Molly, the Manager of Therapeutic Care. It’s so nice to meet you! Here, lets have a seat over here where its more comfortable.” -💕

Next to the entrance was her desk, but off to the side was a setup with a couple of different seating options; two recliners and a loveseat all sat around a coffee table with sensory toys in a basket. She takes a seat in a soft recliner, a clipboard in her arms as she folds two legs over the other two with a smile.

*He sits in the other recliner. Unsure where to start and a little nervous about being open, he scratches at his beard.*

Uhhh. Well, I guess I just haven’t been feeling great about myself lately. I’m not… I don’t… hmm.
