FRIENDS

► Do you secretly hate one of your friends ➔ Can't hate. Can't love. Their company keeps me entertained though, so I like to keep them around. ► Do you consider all of your friends good friends ➔ The few I have have interesting personalities and stories, but I cannot judge what is 'good' or 'bad', just that they are what they are. ► Who is your best friend ➔ Don't got one. Though, this strange man with white hair and a green eye is a very interesting person. So is this girl who I had to drag out of a bar more than once. ► Who knows everything about you ➔ Who knows, I don't even know everything about myself.

MORE

The green smoke that had collected in the roof had shrunken, but not from it leaving the room. No, in fact, it seemed to recoil from the sunlight and cram themselves higher into the room forming a dense cloud over the people.

"Ginko, look." Lexen pointed to the green smoke. Testing her hypothesis, she closed the window darkening the room. The cloud ‘relaxed’ returning to its former level in the room. When she opened it again, it flinched and shrunk just as before.

"If you're going back under the bridges, take care not to breath too deeply." His words were slightly ragged, coughing between every other word. Lexen was confused by his words and asked him what he meant. However, he seemed lost in his mind to the illness and went back to staring into the distance without responding.

She stood up and followed Ginko out of the shed. Once outside Diachi and Tsubaki watched the two of them with hopeful eyes. She closed the door behind them and asked,

"Do you happen to have any kindling? We would like to test out a theory that could help stop the plague spreading."

Tsubaki nodded and rushed back to her home to get a small pile of wood scraps and two flint rocks. Lexen thanked them and piled the wood off to the side. Taking the flint rocks in her hands, she scraped them across each other in an attempt to light the kindling.

Lexen, despite her many skills and experiences, was never very good with lighting a fire on her own. These kinds of survival skills weren't necessary when magic was around. After a few tries with sparks landing in the kindling but no fire, Lexen gave a little mind scan to see if anyone was watching her before whispering 'fire' to the wood.

Neve jumped forward at the sudden noise. Drawing her sword she quickly turned around, scanning the forest for movement. When she found none she put her ‘other senses’ as she called them to work. Not finding any nearby energysignatures she frowned. She was sure she’d heard something.

Shaking her head she sheathed her sword went back to her route. She had been hired by the mayor of a small city, now several miles away. She had been employed to fetch a special ointment from the other side of the country. It was said to treat even the worst of illnesses and even cured small cuts.

So, she carefully walked through the tree branches, jumping from tree-to-tree to follow this woman. Eventually, the woman stopped to refill her waterbag. Lexen carefully walked along a tree branch when she accidentally snapped a dry branch. Freezing, she waited to see if the woman noticed and silently sighed when she did.

"Alright, come out whoever the hell you are, I don't like being watched!"

Lexen debated on revealing herself and went with it. She was no assassin or petty highway bandit. This perosn could also have valuable information on her beast. Carefully, she jumped down from the branches and appeared like a shadow from the darkness.

She was dressed in all black leather clothes. A hood covered her head and a black bandana covered her mouth, showing only her dark brown eyes. On her hip was a small sword and a metal whip, across her chest were an array of knives and potions, and a small sack slung over her back. Raising her hands, she pulled down her bandana and hood to show she was no harm.

I need more people to follow :)
