My aunt who was only 28 just died. She had three kids and her oldest who is just six years old found her body. The two three year olds were upstairs. She was a single mother because the father was abusive to her and the children. Now because we live in Washington State the government policy of attempting to keep the kids with the parents might get them killed. I don't know what to do.
I'm not a good person and I can't take care of myself let alone three kids. I cannot let the kids go to the father and he may not be allowed to because of the broken court orders. I need advice and i really cannot think right now. Please can someone give me some advice?

It was a pretty big day for Emilia. She had been sent by her internship to write up a piece on some serial crime in bludhaven. She didn’t know a lot of people there but she did know someone who understood the position she’s in at least somewhat.

Dick texted back pretty quickly which led to the typo. He looked around the docks a little before deciding it was probably fine and making his way to where her location ping was. He was going to have to question her on why she came.
“Working on a story! Got sent by the publication!”
She texts back, actually really excited to be here
"okay well what story?"
Dick texts back as he narrowly avoids falling into the road as he traverses the city.
“Some thing about organised crime in bludhaven! We’ve got some police interviews so maybe I’ll see you at the precinct?”
She seems excited, way too excited considering the story she’s working on
"for one. I'm a vigilante so cops don't tend to like me :/. For two i feel like organized crime is a little too dangerous for you to investigate. Especially if you go to the police. So many of them are bought out."
Dick saw her car from above and started tailing her just to make sure nothing happened.
“I’m not fragile Dick, I’ll be fine! 🙄”

“Speaking of… Any chance I can get a Nightwing exclusive while I’m here? 👀”
Emilia of course doesn’t notice Dick tailing the car. She’s in the backseat with another reporter as she texts him.
Dick snaps a picture of her car in response and sends it to her.
"you won't be fine if you're not aware of your surroundings."
Emilia receives the photo and immediately starts looking around for where dick is. As soon as she finds him she rolls her eyes with a soft smile at him through the back windshield. She snaps a photo of him and send it in response
“Stalking me now huh?”
"it's Blüd. I'm not the only one stalking you right now. Already saw a guy trailing you on a motorcycle."
True enough there was a motorcyclist behind them who had been following them since they entered the city.
She rolls her eyes again, less lighthearted this time, more genuinely annoyed
“Shit, I didn’t bring my suit or anything”

Dick jumped and tackled him iff the bike where a gun was pulled and dick knocked it away.
"that guy in the bike had a gun and a picture of your car."
Emilia startles as she watches before sticking her head out the window of the car for a moment to check on Dick. She texts back, trying not to worry the other interns in the car.
“Oh my god! Are you ok??”
She’s panicked now, sitting back in the car but keeping her eye on Dick in case he needs any back up at all. He is honestly a lot more efficient than she is.
“How did you even catch that he was onto us so quick??”
"I'm fine. Not sure about him considering i kicked him off a moving motorcycle but who cares."
Dick pops back up as he gets up to another roof to continue tailing her car.
"it's Blüd. Assume you're being watched and followed everywhere. Especially if you just entered the city."
“And why do you care so much about how safe I’m being?? 🤨”
She teases, poking fun at him for how he seems to be her guide to Bludhaven right now. She smiles softly as she texts him back, still keeping an eye on him, just in case he needs the extra help. She has her knives in her bag, just in case.
"Considering the fact you're in a car with a bunch of people that's very self centered of you. Good job."
Dick punches another guy off a roof and barely manages to catch him before he splats.
Emilia rolls her eyes with a soft smile
“On the topic of self centred, you never said whether or not I could do an exclusive interview with Nightwing?”
She sees the guy falling and flinches ever so slightly
“You need to be way more careful!!”

Dick looks to his left where there is a water tower and a homeless guy who surprisingly Dick knew.
