I don’t mean to be a bitch. I’ll probably end up deleting this. But man it’s demoralizing to see what modern day fandom has become. People are so willing to jump ship the moment a show is imperfect. No one cares once it stops being trendy. Fanfic??? Fanart??? Nope no passion just content. Something becomes seen as cringe? Drop it like a hot potato and act like you never cared to begin with. Can’t risk looking like a loser.

Remember when people stayed in fandoms for years? Shows with one season would have fandoms so powerful you’d think they were still running

Now? A month into a show’s off-season and everyone has run off looking for the next shiny new toy. Some mid writing? Oops I didn’t get exactly what I wanted. This show is shit with no redeeming qualities now so I’m just going to ghost all the friends I’ve made. It’s exhausting. I’m sick of it.

Warden Agruss is undeniably a bastard - even so, the way Obi-Wan smiles when he turns to Rex is definitely something that doesn’t exactly fit the Jedi Code.

Also, this? Damn. Damnnnnn. We know Obi-Wan is one of the most powerful Jedi in the Order, yet we rarely see him use the Force in a way like this. It’s far more aggressive than the abilities we’ve seen him using.

And here, just for a moment, we see Obi-Wan giving way to his rage. You can see it in his movements - they’re wider, more aggressive, less balanced than the traditional Soresu we’re used to seeing. Maul mentions it explicitly: “Your rage has unbalanced you. That is not the Jedi way, is it?”

THIS IS THE MAN WHO FOUGHT ANAKIN SKYWALKER AT HIS PEAK AND WON.

Obi-wan. Is. Dangerous. 

In the unfinished Utapau arc, there’s a scene where Obi-Wan is complaining about Anakin, bickering with him like the old married couple they are

Then an enemy shows up with their lightsabers (they lost them earlier) and is like “What about your lightsabers, Jedi? Without them, you are defenseless.”

And Anakin just:

If we got the fully animated scene, I have no doubt that we would’ve seen that enemy fully sliced and diced into little pieces. What Anakin did most definitely mutilated that enemy’s corpse.

Now, while we can definitely go into the whole spiel of “Anakin is going dark and you can see it in how casual he is when slicing someone to pieces with no remorse”, what gets me is Obi-Wan’s reaction.

In Season 2, when Obi-Wan watches Anakin kill Tal Merrik, he’s all “Anakin” with a disapproving tone.

Here, what he says is, “Alright, now that was impressive” in a tone that is very impressed with Anakin and totally disregards the guy Anakin just dismembered and sliced into little pieces.

But he knows Anakin means it because he's too honest in that way, so he gets to flush and fidget through Anakin telling him exactly how being apart from him makes him feel~
