and this part might make some people's head explode but: characters can be written to forgive things you personally wouldn't ever forgive. not everything is written as what you'd perceive to be the right choice. not everything is a self-insert & protagonists don't have to be relatable.

"you dont need apps for everything" but its helpful and more practical a lot of the time, i dont carry a notebook everywhere!! the entire point of this post is that most apps readily available on app stores are riddled with annoying shit like this that you never see on desktop apps, and it sucks especially for less tech savvy people who dont know how to install non-app store apps or how to customize notifications. why is your first reaction to someone complaining about harmful app design to blame them for using it instead of the industry for designing it in such a way. fucking idiot. i kill you now
