By filling out this form, you are signing up to receive a bingo card with 24 random AUs (Alternate Universes) via e-mail.**
You will receive your Bingo card within 24 hours of signing up.
It is then up to you to create fanworks inspired by those AUs to create a Bingo by matching five or more AU squares!
You can request one re-roll of up to three AUs if you aren't comfortable/inspired by some of your prompts.
Once you reach a Bingo (see requirements below), you will be rewarded with nifty badge to show off your AU-creating prowess.

The Basics:
Each participant will write a winter/holiday themed fanfiction involving The Pitt based on prompt(s) from another participant to be gifted to that participant.
Works will be posted to an Archive Of Our Own collection (link to come) and kept hidden until the reveal date.
Works must be a minimum of 2,000 words and a maximum of 10,000 words.
Rules:
Participants must be 18+
Works should be at least vaguely winter/holiday themed.

Because my brain gets hung up on stupid details and won't let me write what I want to write until I square everything out, I (an European) have now sat down and done my best to research and approximate what the hours of people in the Pitt ought to be like, monthly, and how many shifts they ought to have each month.
Of course, the next step is figuring out like, four months of rota, starting from september onward, to account for the time that will elapse in my fic.
If anyone is interested, I can publish my findings here on tumblr, but like, please be gentle with me if I do.
This is just specifically related to my fic series on AO3, this is NOT about the canon Pitt, thank you, please be nice.
Some of the reasonings behind this:
The reason why some lines are not labeled is because the lilacs are original characters and I've not gotten around to either creating name or naming them.
Yes, Jack and Robby's schedules are both insane, that pace is not sustainable, the things Robby had to do to get 4 days off are unspeakable and he fucked up having one day off each week for this shit.
Robby also tends to discount his Early shifts / Admin shifts as "this is just me doing paperwork, this is not really like a shift in the ED, I'm basically off, I get to go home early and all".
He is wrong, dead fucking wrong. Admin work is still work and it is absolutely taxing and exhausting, especially when paired up with all the shifts he is doing. This is NOT a sustainable pace. It is not meant to be taken as one.
He really should have hired at least two other attendings but the board is being bad about hiring ratios and Jack is being bad about his shifts and Robby really was not in a healthy place by Pittfest, which is reflected in this rota.
I decided to have the medical students be eased in. Start them on days, sunday and monday off for MS3, sunday off for MS4 but monday is a 7am - 5pm 'study' shift (they are still learning, but it's focused on paperwork and studying for their exams), then move them to the 3pm - 3am and viceversa shifts and then transition fully to nights.
Similar reasoning for interns.
I have divvied up the nurses into teams, so the same people (unless they specifically request to swap shifts for whatever reason) tend to be on the same team in the same days.
Which explains why season to season we might see the same nurses come back on the same shift.
The RNs have those 'one 12h shift not with their own team to make sure they get the right amount of hours' in different days from the APRNSs so that there is less overlap and more shifts are covered.
And the charge nurse with less LD shifts actually has a series of 10h shifts to make up for it, because she's covering Admin Duty, which we do not see Dana do but someone has got to do it.
And this is playing into them being short-staffed, not just upstairs but in the Pitt too.
And there have one less APRN and RN for night shifts, because night shifts have less people, but I left equal amounts of residents and attendings, and I've put in two RN who have those 3pm - 3am shifts to bolster both day and night.
I also just tweaked it to fix it so the mixed shifts RN cover the whole month, between the two of them, if at opposite shifts.
Unlike the nurses, the residents do not have teams and are not always on shift with the same people, but that's on purpose, so they can have a wider range of experience with different people and learn to work with all of them.
Also, again, Jack and Robby are both traumatized workaholics that are running from their problems via work and should not be doing that. So they are on shift often enough that they can mostly supervise most people at one point or another.
Once they start leveling the fuck out and actually get around to decrease their shifts, Robby will have to either pick from the promoted R4s (Ellis is totally getting picked) or hire more attendings to cover for the gaps in the schedule.
It would have been Ellis and Langdon, but Langdon has to do another year as R4 thanks to the mess with the drugs, so it might be Ellis and someone else until Langdon either proves himself or Robby finds someone.
Honestly, I am toying with the idea that it might be Samira that gets picked for when Harley goes, because by then she might be at the end of her R4 year. (edited)
