That Void Thing

Infinite Insanity.

One of a few efforts in tiny maximalism.

Also had the opportunity to try out oil painting for a time. Lots of work needed for this medium.

You see what you want you want to see I guess.

Been hard at work, stepping one beat at a time. Sometimes one a half beat.

Just a little something to take the edge off.

I did this in a single night on my hands and knees in a delirious spirited state as I sought completion and catharsis beyond all else. Truthfully, I barely remember making this, waking up covered in charcoal and pastels on the floor, but I guess that’s the price for being haunted during the process. The canvas was larger than me which the second picture should demonstrate.

The semester ended weeks ago but I figured I’d usher in the new year with posting my finished big art while I finish different little art.

Beastly predestination born from nightly procrastination.

A casual piece I did, adding colors and lines simply for the fun of it. There is maybe some details left to add, but those are for later.

The lesson here is not to commit ink to a page unless you’re willing to work around it, which is what I did a lot here, working around lines I forgot why I permanently placed.

I guess it’s not that quick. Bulk in a day, a touch up or two a day or two later. A background an hour or less whenever. But at least it’s not measured in months.

A long gauntlet of a piece that has easily become one of my favorite things I created. I imagine the name to be pronounced similarly as the chorus of the song FUTURE OF HELL by HEALTH. In general their music has been a heavy inspiration. Also there are three doors that I more or less accidentally placed as fun little easter eggs.
