The timing of this is absolutely fucking ridiculous. Is it an important topic? Absolutely yes! Should it be in with the whole baby blackmail shit?? Absolutely no! Is it even going to be a meaningful, thoughtfully handled "special topic" storyline? Probably not, no. Look at how they're bungling every other "special topic" storyline they've had recently...
Todd isnt even a fully fleshed character, she started as Jacob's bully and now is spiraling into increasingly horrifying levels of villainy for who knows what purpose? Why? Because she is An Evil Abuser and because apparently the baby reveal wasnt going to break the family enough, wouldnt give the audience enough complex issues to think about, they needed the added f/f sexual assault to assuage their rage and realize Charity is not Actually the Devil, and has also suffered (because having a late risk pregnancy after having had an abortion before wasnt suffering enough) nah they gotta see it all thru the lenses of a SA victim (WHICH SHE ALREADY IS?!?!?) and be led step by step like a blind dumb creature to the great conclusion which is Lying is Bad but Sexual Assault is Worse. Congrats ED another great memorable Issue Story is in the (vomit) bag!
