A Good Girl's Guide to Murder..
..or How Not to Adapt a Book to TV Show.
I know I mentioned this show in a previous post, but now I'm on season 2 and I don't understand how people raved about this show.
It's understandable that SOME things are changed from book to show/movie, but they changed A LOT. For us Americans, the biggest difference right away is that it all takes places in the UK rather than in America. That's fine. It was easy to overcome.
However, in the book, Pip became bearable. In the show, she's 10x more annoying.
Stella Chapman and Ant Lowe didn't get to play who they were supposed to. Stanley isn't who he was. Pip has so much friction with characters when there wasn't none in the books. I think the ONLY thing I actually like is that Max Hastings's mother found out what her son did and urged him to turn himself in.
I'm still not done with season 2, so I guess we'll see what else is a letdown.
