On the dawn of the final day, I would like to say:
I love all of you
A fandom is a family. We fight with each other. We disagree with each other. But we cry together. We laugh together. We spend this portion of our lives together.
We may not know each other personally, but we can hold a legitimate conversation about the same exact thing with so much passion it's like we're long-time friends. So we're not complete strangers.
There is a reason we've all stuck around to see the end. Whatever that reason is (you wanted to see the fate of the character you related most to, you wanted to see how the story wrapped up, etc.) allowed us to all experience it's final moments as a team.
I don't know if we're all gonna stay here. Some might stay for the art and the memories. Some might leave because it gets harder to say goodbye the longer you wait. Some might move on to fandoms that we've never heard of and you might not see them again. We all have our own lives. We go to sleep and wake up at different times...but we all come back here.
So make these final connections. Continue to follow people and chat with them. And there may be Steven Universe news somewhere down the line that we can all come back for. Goodbyes aren't forever.
